Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition for detecting Pyricularia oryzae, which includes a primer set and a probe with excellent specificity and sensitivity and a quantitative detection method of Pyricularia oryzae using the same. A composition for detecting Pyricularia oryzae according to the present invention can establish a molecular biological monitoring system of Pyricularia oryzae and objectively quantify an infection of Pyricularia oryzae.

PURPOSE: Iron fortified potato is provided, therein increasing the expression of the ferritin gene within potato, and resolving the iron deficient problems in food. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the iron fortified potato comprises the steps of: connecting a ferritin gene of soybean to 35S CaMV vector; inserting PinII terminator into the 35S CaMV vector; transferring the 35S CaMV vector into pCAMBIA3300 binary vector; transforming potato with the pCAMBIA3300 binary vector containing the ferritin gene of soybean by co-culturing Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA4404 with potato in MSO medium for 48 hours; inducing callus of infected potato in a callus inducing medium; and forming roots of infected potato in a root inducing medium.

CONSTITUTION: A method for improving disease and catastrophe resistance in a plant comprises a step of increasing intracellular level of a polypeptide with an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A method for overexpressing the polypeptide comprises a step of transforming a recombinant vector in a plant or by introducing a gene encoding the polypeptide into a plant cell. The gene encoding the polypeptide has a base sequence of sequence number 1. The plant includes rice plant, barley, corn, rye, oat, lawn grass, hog millet, sugar cane, ryegrass, or orchard grass. A method for producing a plant with disease and catastrophe resistance comprises a step of transforming the recombinant expression vector to the plant.

PURPOSE: A rice blast resistant OsABP57 genes is provided to develop rice blast resistant breed, and to improve crop productivity. CONSTITUTION: A rice blast resistant protein has amino acid of sequence number 2. A gene encoding the protein has a base of sequence number 1. A transformant with improved rice blast resistance is prepared by transforming with a recombinant expression vector containing the gene of sequence number 1. The rice blast resistance is controlled by regulating protein level in a cell. A method for over-expressing the protein comprises: a step of preparing the recombinant expression vector and transforming a plant with the recombinant expression vector or a step of transducing the gene encoding the protein into plant cells. The plant is Oryza sativa, barley, wheat, rye, oat, grass, hog millet, corn, onion, leek, garlic, Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, Polygonatum falcatum, Veratri Rhizoma, bamboo, Cymbidium goeringii, Cymbidium ssp., Dendrobium phalaenopsis, Neofinetia falcate, Aerides japonicum, Cattleya ssp., Oncidium ssp., Brassia ssp., or Cymbidium Kanran.
