A wake-up receiver(100) operates according to the low-power clock signal and generates an enable signal(Sen) by detecting a wake-up code signal within an RF signal from an antenna. A main receiver(200) operates according to the enable signal. The wake-up receiver comprises a detector(110) for detecting the RF signal from the antenna, a comparator(120) for comparing a detection signal(Vd) from the detector with a reference signal(Vref), and a wake-up discriminator(130) for determining the wake-up by comparing the comparison result signal(Scom) from the comparator with a preset reference wake-up signal.

Abstract: A low power communication system and a communication method thereof are provided to reduce the power consumption by being switched into an operational mode only when a signal received at a deep sleep mode is identical to a preset wakeup signal. A detector(110) detects a signal received through an antenna, and a comparator(120) is operated by a first clock. The comparator compares the detected received signal with a preset reference voltage. When a comparison signal is outputted from the comparator, a wakeup determiner(130) is operated through the compensated second clock by corresponding to the first clock. The wakeup determiner judges an operation mode through the comparison of the compared signal with the preset wakeup signal. If the operation mode is judged, the wakeup determiner outputs an enable signal.

Abstract: A phase locked loop having a stack structure for low power is provided to remove a power noise caused by a parasitic inductance generated in current mirroring by not using a current mirror circuit. A phase locked loop having a stack structure for low power includes a voltage controlled oscillator(120), and a divider(110). The voltage controlled oscillator is located on a ground terminal and an operation power terminal for supplying a predetermined operation power, and generates an oscillation signal. The divider is electrically coupled to the voltage controlled oscillator in series between the operation power terminal and the ground terminal. The divider generates a division signal which divides an oscillation signal of the voltage controlled oscillator. The voltage controlled oscillator and the divider form a transmission path of the operation current which flows between the operation power terminal and the ground terminal.
