Abstract: Disclosed are an ACK-based communication method in an electronic shelf label system and a recording medium storing a program for executing the same. In step (a), when a receiver normally receives a data frame from a transmitter, the receiver transmits an ACK signal to the transmitter. In step (b), the receiver operates in a reception waiting state during the threshold time. In step (c), the receiver determines whether there is a data frame retransmitted from the transmitter during the threshold time. In step (d), when there is a retransmitted data frame, the receiver retransmits the ACK signal to the transmitter and performs a predetermined subsequent operation. When there is no retransmitted data frame, the receiver performs the predetermined next operation after the threshold time period has elapsed. According to the ACK-based communication method, in the ACK-based communication scheme used in the electronic shelf label system, the receiver operates in a reception mode for the predetermined time after transmission of the ACK in order to prepare loss of an ACK packet between a gateway and a tag to improve the reception rate of the ACK, thereby correcting communication errors and improving communication reliability.
