PURPOSE: A display device and a method for controlling thereof are provided to amend a difference of a left-eye image and a right-eye image conveniently and correctly through a representative value of each reference area of the left-eye image and the right-eye image displayed on the display device. A switch device 2(430) relays a request for obtaining a received data transmission path to the sink device(530). 본발명은 액정 디스플레이(LCD) 또는 액정 온 실리콘(LcoS)을 이용한 화상표시시스템에서 컬러(color) 분리 또는 광 경로 분리를 위해 사용되는 휠(wheel)을 정확하게 제어하여 최대 휘도를 얻을 수 있도록 하는 화상표시시스템의 컬러휠 제어장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기한 본발명은 모터제어 데이터를 수신하여 모터구동에 필요한 신호를 발생시키는 모터구동부와, 모터축에 결합되어 있으며 상기 모터구동부에서 출력되는 신호에 의해 회전 제어되는 휠, 상기 모터의 인덱스정보를 검출하여 피드백하는 인덱스센서 및 기준 동기 신호와 상기 인덱스정보를 비교한 오차 범위에 따라 미세조정단계와 신속조정단계로 구분하고 상기 각 단계에 따른 모터 제어 데이터가 별도의 라인을 통하여 상기 모터구동부로 출력하는 제어부를 포함하여 구성되며 또한, 전원 인가 시 모터를 제어하는 초기화 단계와, 기준신호와 상기 모터에서 피드백되는 인덱스정보를 비교하여 오차범위를 판단하여 미세조정단계와 신속조정단계로 구분하는 오차비교단계, 및 상기 조정단계에 따라 각각 별도의 라인을 통하여 모터를 제어하기 위 한 모터데이터를 출력하는 모터조정단계를 포함하여 그 제어방법이 이루어지도록 한다. 따라서, 본 발명에 의하면 RPM 및 편차를 정밀조정할 수 있도록 하여 실제 디스플레이되는 영역을 넓게 사용하여 광량효율을 높일 수 있는 효과가 있는 것이다.

PURPOSE: A device for controlling a color wheel of an image display system and a method therefor are provided to widely use an actually displayed region and enhance luminous intensity efficiency by minutely and accurately adjusting an RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) and deflection. CONSTITUTION: A motor driving unit(200) receives motor control data, and generates a signal necessary for driving a motor. A wheel(220) is combined with a motor axis, and is rotated and controlled by the signal outputted from the motor driving unit. An index sensor(230) detects index information from the motor, and feeds back detected index information. A control unit(100) performs a minute adjustment stage and a fast adjustment stage according to an error range in which feedback index information is compared with a reference synchronous signal, and outputs motor control data according to the minute adjustment stage and the fast adjustment stage to the motor driving unit through separate lines.

A color temperature conversion system and a method thereof are capable of converting the color temperature to the color temperature almost identical with the color temperature obtained by the Robertson algorithm. The color temperature conversion system has an XYZ conversion unit for converting an RGB signal of input video data into an XYZ value in a CIE coordinate system, a chroma calculating unit for calculating X and Y coordinate values of a pixel corresponding to the converted XYZ value, an offset compensate unit for compensating the X coordinate value calculated by the chroma calculating unit based on an X coordinate value difference and a Y coordinate value difference of a color temperature on a white point line of the CIE coordinate system and an actual color temperature of the video data, in the case the color temperature is calculated based on the calculated X coordinate value, a color temperature calculating unit for calculating the color temperature of the video data that is inputted based on the compensated X coordinate value, and a color temperature conversion unit for converting the color temperature calculated by the color temperature calculating unit into a predetermined color temperature and outputting the converted predetermined color temperature.

PURPOSE: A method for removing the false contour and an apparatus adaptable for the same are provided to obtain a high operational speed enough to process the high quality image by selectively outputting the signal in response to the determined error. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing the false contour includes: a quantization and output data calculation step(S1206) of calculating the output data so as to remove the false contour generated by comparing the input data with the comparison data and calculating the output data based on the index errors between the error diffused input data; an error detection step(S1208) of detecting the index error between the input data reflected on the errors generated between the adjacent pixels of the different line in the same frame; and a step(S1210 and S1212) of selecting one among the plurality of output data generated at the quantization and output data calculation step(S1206) by the detected index error.

PURPOSE: A display device using a plasma display panel(PDP) is provided to drive a number of plasma display panels using one driving apparatus having a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION: A number of plasma display panels(101,102) are arranged in a random angle. In case of installing two plasma display panels, the back of each panel is contacted with each other. A digital image input part(103) inputs digital display data to be displayed on the panels, and a control part(104) controls an address information of a cell to turn on corresponding to the digital image data inputted to the digital image input part and the voltage state supplied to an electrode of each cell. And, a number of address drivers(105,106) generate an address pulse(write pulse, erase pulse) to control the lighting state of the cell to light and the discharge state after lighting the cell under the control of the control part. And, an X-driver(107) and a Y-driver(108) supply a sustain voltage(Vs) to each cell by being controlled by the control part.
