The present invention is to provide a yeast cell with improved lactate production ability, and a method for producing lactate using the same. More specifically, provided is a yeast cell which has improved activity of lactate dehydrogenase which converts pyruvate into lactate and includes an introduced gene coding the lactate dehydrogenase. In addition, provided is the method for producing lactate using the yeast cell.
Abstract:
An example of the present invention relates to a microorganism with improved lactic acid productivity, which improves the lactic acid productivity when overexpressing a lactic acid transporter which is a protein transporting a lactic acid to the inside or the outside of the cell. Moreover, the lactic acid productivity is improved when the activity of a lactic acid oxidase is inhibited and the activity of pyruvate deoxidant enzyme. A lactic acid production yield can be improved by using the transformed microorganism manufactured by the same, thereby being capable of useful industrial application.

The present invention relates to: a promoter specific homologous part which is homologous with a part of the promoter of a target gene; a marker gene which is connected with the promoter specific homologous part in order to be able to operate; a cassette, for causing a defect of the target gene, which is connected to the downstream of the marker gene and includes a gene specific homologous part which is homologous with at least one target gene; and a gene manipulation method which uses the cassette. The efficient gene manipulation and selection of a cell are possible by using the cassette and the gene manipulation method using the cassette.
