PURPOSE: An environment-friendly crosslinkable polyphosphonate is provided to improve flame retardance by only small amount, and to impart excellent physical properties balance of flame retardance, thermal resistance, impact strength, appearance, etc. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly crosslinkable polyphosphonate contains a repeating unit in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, Z is C1-C5 linear or branched alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C6-C20 aryl, Y is hydrogen, C1-C5 linear or branched alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C6-C20 aryl, X is C1-C5 linear or branched alkylene, C5-C6 cycloalkylene, or C6-C20 arylene, Q is a functional group in chemical formula 1-a. In chemical formula 1-a, A is a single bond, C1-C5 alkylene, C1-C5 alkylidene, C5-C6 cycloalkylidene, -S-, or -SO2-, R is a C1-C10 alkyl group, a C6-C20 aryl group, or a C6-C20 aryloxy group, and n is an integer from 5-2000, and m is an integer from 3-10.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A novel phosphorus compound and a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition containing the same are provided to enhance anti-hydrolysis property and thermal resistance. CONSTITUTION: A phosphorus compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the phosphorus compound of chemical formula 1 comprises: a step of reacting phosphorus oxychloride and a compound of chemical formula 2; and a step of reacting a reactant with hydroquinone. A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition contains 0.1-50 weight parts of the phosphorus compound and 100 weight part of thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin is polycarbonate resin.

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin composition, a plastic molded article produced therefrom, and a method for preparing a polymerizable phosphorus-based compound are provided to ensure excellent flame retardancy, impact resistance, heat resistance, and fluidity. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin composition comprises: 100 wt % of a base resin including 30 to 100 wt % of a polycarbonate-based resin; and 0.1 to 40 wt % of a polymerizable phosphorus-based compound represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, A is a single bond, C1-C5 alkylene, C1-C5 alkylidene, C5-C6 cycloalkylidene, -S- or -SO2-; R is C1-C20 aryl; and n is an integer of 4 - 500. The base resin comprises 30~100 weight% of a polycarbonate resin and 0~70 weight% of a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl polymer.

PURPOSE: A non-halogen flame-retarding polycarbonate resin composition is provided to secure the stability to the fire, and to prevent the environmental contamination by avoid using a halogen based flame retardant. CONSTITUTION: A non-halogen flame-retarding polycarbonate resin composition contains the following: 100 parts of base resin by weight formed with 50~100wt% of polycarbonate resin, and 0~50wt% of rubber-modified styrenic resin; 0.5~20 parts of cyclic benzyl phosphonate compound by weight marked with chemical formula 1; and 0~20 parts of aromatic phosphate ester compound by weight. In the chemical formula 1, R1, R1`, R2, and R2` are hydrogen, a C1~C8 alkyl group, a C6~C20 aryl group, or a C1~C8 alkyl-substituted C6~C20 aryl group.

PURPOSE: A flameproof thermoplastic resin composition is provided to secure the environment-friendly property of the composition by using an environment-friendly compound instead of a halogen based flame retardant, or a phosphate flame retardant. CONSTITUTION: A flameproof thermoplastic resin composition contains 100 parts of thermoplastic resin by weight, and 0.1~40 parts of selenium based flame retardant by weight. A thermoplastic resin is selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl resin, a rubber modified aromatic vinyl resin, a polyphenylene resin, a polycarbonate resin, a polyester resin, a methacrylate resin, a polyarylene sulfide resin, a polyamide resin, a polyvinylchloride resin, a polyolefin resin, and their compound.

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin composition is provided for molding electrical/electronic material with improved heat resistance, and to secure the environment-friendly property of the composition. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin composition with improved fire retardant property contains the following: 30~100 parts of polycarbonate resin by weight; 0~70 parts of rubber-modified aromatic vinyl polymer by weight; and 0.1~40 parts of boron-based compound by weight marked as chemical formula 2, for 100 parts of base resin by weight including the polycarbonate resin and the rubber-modified aromatic vinyl polymer. In the chemical formula 2, R1, R2, and R3 are an amine group, a sulfone group, a hydroxyl group, a phenol group, a phenyl group, an alkyl group of C1~C10, and others, respectively.

A flameproof styrene-based resin composition having phosphorus-based compounds as a flame retardant is provided to ensure excellent chemical resistance and flame retardancy by applying the phosphorus-based compounds to a blend of styrene-based copolymer, polyphenylene ether resin and polyethylene terephthalate resin. A flameproof styrene-based resin composition having phosphorus-based compounds as a flame retardant comprises a 100 part of base resin and 1~30 part of one or more phosphorus-based compounds selected from the group consisting of alkyl phosphinic acid metal salt compounds and aromatic phosphoric acid ester compounds by weight. The base resin contains 40~98wt% of styrene-based resin, 1~30wt% of polyphenylene ether resin, and 1~30wt% of polyethylene terephthalate resin.

A phosphorus-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer is provided to avoid the use of a char-forming agent in imparting flame resistance to a resin composition, to prevent a drop in heat resistance of a thermoplastic resin, and to impart excellent flame resistance to a thermoplastic resin composition. A phosphorus-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer is obtained by polymerizing: elemental phosphorus; an aromatic vinyl monomer; and a monomer selected from the group consisting of a crosslinking agent selected from divinyl benzene, multi-functional aromatic vinyl compounds, triallyl isocyanurate, multifunctional mercaptan, multifunctional peroxide and a mixture thereof, a unsaturated nitrile monomer and a mixture thereof.

A flame retardant styrene-based resin composition, a pellet obtained by extruding the composition, and an exterior material of an electronic device molded from the composition are provided to improve the balance of physical properties such as heat resistance and workability and to obtain excellent flame retardancy even by using a small amount of a flame retardant. A flame retardant styrene-based resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a base resin which comprises 50-99 wt% of a styrene-based resin and 1-50 wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin; and 0.1-30 parts by weight of a phosphonium-based compound represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 is a C1-C6 alkyl group, an aryl group, or a C1-C6 alkyl group having a carboxyl group at terminal; and X is a halogen atom.
