Abstract: La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para producir una preparacion de diformato de sodio solida que tiene un contenido de acido formico de por lo menos 35% en peso, basado en el peso total de preparacion de diformato de sodio en donde, a temperatura elevada del formato de sodio y por lo menos con 74% de concentracion en peso del acido formico, es producida una solucion acuosa que tiene una relacion molar HCOOH:HCOONa superior a 1,5:1 y una relacion molar HCOOH:H2O de por lo menos 1,1:1, la solucion acuosa es llevada a la cristalizacion, y la fase solida es separada del licor madre, (i) una subcantidad (A) del licor madre e usada en la produccion de solucion acuosa y (ii) siendo una subcantidad (B) del licor madre mezclada con una base conteniendo sodio y la mezcla resultante que comprende formato de sodio, si fuera apropiado despues de eliminar una parte de la misma, y si fuera apropiado despues concentrar la misma, es usada igualmente en la produccion de la solucion acuosa; y las subcantidades (A) y (B) de licor madre totalizan 100% en peso.

Abstract: Preparation of a solid sodium formate preparation comprises (i) preparing an aqueous solution, which exhibits formic acid, sodium formate and water; (ii) subjecting the aqueous solution to crystallization and separating a solid phase from mother liquor; (iii) supplying the mother liquor during the production of the aqueous solution, to a distilling device; (iv) mixing the mother liquor with a sodium-containing base to form a mixture containing sodium formate and formic acid; (v) mixing the mixture with formic acid; and (vi) removing the water by withdrawing from the distilling device. Preparation of a solid sodium formate preparation with a content of at least 35 wt.% of formic acid, comprises: (i) at increased temperature, preparing an aqueous solution, which exhibits a molar ratio of formic acid and sodium formate of more than 1.5:1 and a molar ratio of formic acid and water of at least 1.1:1; (ii) subjecting the aqueous solution to crystallization and separating a solid phase from mother liquor; (iii) supplying the mother liquor, optionally after removal of a partial quantity of the mother liquor, during the production of the aqueous solution, to a distilling device; (iv) mixing the mother liquor with a sodium-containing base to form a mixture containing sodium formate and formic acid; (v) mixing the mixture with formic acid under receipt of the aqueous solution; and (vi) removing the water that is not needed for the production of the aqueous solution, by withdrawing from the distilling device.
