    Abstract: The invention relates to the use of molded bodies as dust-binding means i n vacuum cleaners. The molded bodies according to the invention have length/ width/height dimensions ranging from 1 mm to 3 cm, at least one dimension be ing larger than 5.5 mm, and are produced by treating (a) an open-cell foam m aterial having a density ranging from 5 to 500 kg/m3 and a mean pore diamete r ranging from 1 .mu.m to 1 mm (b) with an aqueous formulation of at least o ne compound having at least one hemiaminal group or aminal group per molecul e or at least one copolymer which contains at least one OH group- or .beta.- dicarbonyl group- or epoxy group-containing comonomer polymerized into it, ( c) and a shaping step.
