Abstract:
The invention relates to a light material containing wood having an average density in the region of between 200 to 600 kg/m 3 , and which comprises, in relation to the material containing wood, A) 30 to 95% by wt. of wood particles, B) 1 to 25% by wt. of a filling material having a bulk density in the region of between 10 to 150 kg/m 3 , selected from the group consisting of foamable plastic particles and already foamed plastic particles, C) 0.1 to 50% by wt. of a binding agent, and optionally, D) additives. Said claimed material containing wood is characterised by the following relation between the d' values in accordance with the Rosin-Rammler-Sperling-Bennet distribution of the wood particles (A) and the particles of the filling material (B): d' of the particles (A) =2,5 OEd' of the particles (B).
Abstract:
A composite foam containing A) foamed particles containing A1) 25 to 95% by weight styrene polymer(s), A2) optionally a blowing agent, A3) optionally one or more additives, B) an aminoplast component containing B1) 1 to 65% by weight cured, optionally modified, and optionally foamed aminoplast resin, B2) 0.1 to 20% by weight of one or more flame retardant organic phosphorous compounds having a phosphorous content of 5 to 80% by weight (based on the respective compound) and/or expanded graphite, B3) optionally one or more flame retardant synergists or the component B2), B4) optionally a blowing agent, B5) optionally one or more additives, wherein the percentages by weight - where not stated otherwise - relate to the sum of the components A1), B1) and B2), is suitable, in particular, as insulating material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of hyperbranched polymers or oligomers comprising terminal primary and/or secondary amino groups as curing agents for epoxy resins. The invention further relates to a composition containing such polymers or oligomers, an uncured or only partially cured epoxy resin, and at least one optional curing agent for epoxy resins, as well as a cured epoxy resin that can be obtained by curing said components. The invention finally relates to a method for curing epoxy resins. In said method, an uncured or only partially cured epoxy resin is brought to a temperature of 5 to 150°C or is exposed to microwave radiation along with at least one polymer or oligomer according to the definition above and at least one optional conventional curing agent for epoxy resins.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing tertiary amines based on polyisobutene polymers by reacting polyisobutene alcohol, optionally in admixture with polyisobutene aldehyde, with at least one secondary amine in the presence of at least one heterogeneous catalyst which has a nickel content, calculated as NiO, of less than 50% by weight. The invention also relates to a method for producing quaternized polyisobutene ammonium compounds from the tertiary polyisobutene amines obtained, using a quaternizing agent. The polyisobutene amines or quaternized polyisobutene ammonium compounds are used as fuel additives, in particular in diesel engines with common rail injection systems.

The use of betaine compounds of the formula R1-CO-NH-X-NR2R3)+- Y-COO- where R1denotes a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 5 to 21 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 each independently denote C1- to C4-alkyl radicals, X denotes a hydrocarbon bridging element having 1 to 12 carbon atoms and Y denotes a linear or branched C1- to C4-alkylene group, as additives for fuels, especially as detergent additives for diesel fuels.
Abstract:
The invention relates to flexible, flat substrates having an abrasive surface, characterised in that they can be obtained by applying an aqueous solution or dispersion of at least one pre-condensate of a thermocurable resin on the upper and/or lower side of a flexible, flat substrate, in an amount of at least 5 to 90% in weight in relation to the non-coated, dry substrate, the pre-condensate is cross-linked and the treated substrate is dried.
