    Abstract: processo para obter ácido fórmico. a invenção refere-se a um método para obter ácido fórmico pela separação térmica de um fluxo contendo ácido fórmico e uma amina terciária (i), em que um fluxo líquido que contém ácido fórmico e uma amina terciária (i) em uma proporção molar de 0,5 a 5 é produzido pela combinação de amina terciária (i) e uma fonte de ácido fórmico, 10% a 100% em peso dos componentes secundários contidos em dito fluxo são separados, e ácido fórmico é removido por destilação do fluxo de líquido resultante em um dispositivo de destilação em uma temperatura de fundo de 100ºc a 300º c e uma pressão de 30 hpa abs a 3.000 hpa abs, em que o produto de fundo do dispositivo de destilação é separado em duas fases líquidas e a fase líquida superior é retornada para a fonte de ácido fórmico e a fase líquida inferior é retornada para separação dos componentes secundários e/ou para o dispositivo de destilação.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing formic acid by reacting carbon dioxide (1) with hydrogen (2) in a hydrating reactor (I) in the presence of a catalyst comprising an element from the 8th, 9th, or 10th group of the periodic system; a tertiary amine containing at least twelve carbon atoms per molecule; and a polar solvent comprising one or more monoalcohols selected from methanol, ethanol, propanols, and butanols, forming formic acid / amine adducts as intermediate products, which are subsequently thermally split, wherein a tertiary amine having a boiling point at least 5°C higher than formic acid is used, and wherein a reaction mixture comprising the polar solvent, the formic acid / amine adducts, the tertiary amine, and the catalyst forms from the reaction in the hydrating reactor (I) and is discharged as a discharge (3) from the reactor.

    Abstract: The preparation of hydroxypivalaldehyde is effected by aldolizing isobutyraldehyde with formaldehyde and subsequently working up the resulting reaction effluent by distillation, wherein the reaction effluent is fed to a distillation column which is operated at a top pressure in the range from 0.5 to 1.5 bar and in which a two-stage condensation is provided in the top region, in which the vapors are first conducted into a partial condenser operated at a temperature in the range from 50 to 80° C., whose condensate is recycled at least partly into the distillation column, and in which the vapors uncondensed in the partial condenser are fed to a downstream condenser operated at a temperature in the range from −40 to +30° C., whose condensate is at least partly discharged.
