Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition which can give a polyurethane foam with good thermal conductivity, friability and mold filling property by incorporating three tert. amine compounds each containing a specified ring structure. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by mixing three tert. amine compounds each containing a ring structure in the molecule and represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each 1-3C alkyl or dimethylaminoalkyl or hydroxyalkyl with 1-3C alkyl), formula II (wherein R3 and R4 are each 1-3C alkyl or cyclohexyl) and formula III (wherein R5 is H or 1-C alkyl; R is 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl). The mixing ratio is such that 5-20wt.% compound of formula I, 5-20wt.% compound of formula II and 60-90wt.% compound of formula III are mixed with each other. Only when a catalyst containing all of these three compounds is used, a urethane foam with good thermal conductivity, friability and mold filling property can be produced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title catalyst which can give a long cream time and a short mold release time, by mixing specified two compounds together. CONSTITUTION:The title catalyst is obtained by mixing 95-5pts.wt. compound (A) of formula I with 5-95pts.wt. compound (B) selected from among 1,4- diazabicyclo(2.2.2)-octane or its derivative (a) with an organic or inorganic acid (e.g., formic acid), an organotin compound (b) of formula II (wherein R1-2 are each a 1-16C alkyl and R3-4 are each a 1-20C alkyl) and an organotin compound (C) of formula III. A polyurethane is obtained by mixing 100pts.wt. polyol with a polyisocyanate, water, 0.1-10pts.wt., preferably, 0.5-5pts.wt. said catalyst and, optionally, a blowing agent, surfactant, flame retardant, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a nonmigrating polyurethane production catalyst which is high in catalytic activity, low-odor, water-soluble and easily handleable, can work well even in a small amount of addition and does not migrate to the surface of a resin or the like, comprising dimethylaminohexanol. CONSTITUTION:Dimethylaminohexanol of the formula is used as a catalyst in the production of polyurethane by reacting a polyol with a polyisocyanate. The compound of the formula can be produced by reacting hexanediol with dimethylamine. The amount of a catalyst comprising the compound of the formula is suitably about 0.01-10pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. polyol used in the production of polyurethane. When a polyurethane foam produced by using this catalyst and a vinyl chloride sheet are integrally molded, coloration due to migration of the catalyst form the polyurethane to the vinyl chloride sheet does not occur.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyurethane which is lowly odoriferous and excellent in skin formability, by using an aromatic diamine of a relatively large MW as a catalyst. Another preparation method of this deodorant polyurethane foam comprises mixing the polymer compound A with a polymeric monomer C, bringing the resulting mixture into contact with polyurethane foam, and then polymerizing the polymeric monomer C.

SOLUTION: The catalyst composition for manufacturing a polyurethane comprises a tertiary amine compound, a quaternary ammonium salt and a compound represented by the formula: HO-R-OH, wherein R is -CHR1 CHR2-(OCHR1CHR2)n-, wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and n is an integer of 0-2 or -XNR3Y-, wherein R3 is a 1-18C linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group; and X and Y are each independently -CH2CH2-, -CH(CH3) CH2- or -CH2CH(CH3)-.
