SOLUTION: When plural coating films are simultaneously or successively formed by coating by means of an extrusion die 10 to produce a magnetic recording medium, the difference in shearing stress at 1,80Osec shear rate between a coating material for the thinnest coating film contg. ferromagnetic powder having >=32m /g specific surface area and a coating material for a coating film adjacent to the thinnest coating film is regulated to and the thickness of each of upper and lower wet coating films is regulated to >=0.7μm.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a magnetic recording medium more improved in output performance. SOLUTION: This production method of a magnetic recording medium includes a process to apply a magnetic coating material on a supporting body to form a magnetic layer and a process to calender the layer. The elastic roll used in the calendering process has 0.1-5% water absorption per unit volume and >=90 Shore hardness. The amt. of the solvent remaining in the magnetic layer before calendering process is 100-5000ppm.

SOLUTION: In the method of evaluating an internal state of hair, light is polarized by a first polarizer 11 and is applied to hair 20, light transmitted through the hair 20 is transmitted through a second polarizer 12 arranged in an optical path, and the hue of transmission light transmitted through the second polarizer 12 is evaluated. The first and second polarizers 11, 12 are disposed in an orthogonal Nicols relationship. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing for a film-like catalyst capable of being processed to a desired shape by giving no damage to a catalyst layer. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing for the film-like catalyst has the step of manufacturing the film-like catalyst by forming the catalyst layer on one surface or both surfaces of a support, the step of bending-processing the film-like catalyst, and the step of cutting it if necessary. In the bending-processing step, two gears arranged so as to be opposed to each other such that teeth is engaged with each other is used as a bending processing tool, and bending processing is performed in the state that a protection material having a compression ratio of 40-95% is interposed between the catalyst layer of the film-like catalyst and two gears.
