Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method capable of sufficiently withdrawing the washing ability of a detergent composition and exhibiting an improved washing power, when a conventional detergent composition for clothes is used to wash the clothes to be washed, and to provide a washing device therefor. SOLUTION: This method for washing comprises dissolving and/or dispersing a detergent composition in washing water and subsequently bringing the prepared washing liquid into contact with clothes to be washed. The washing device for performing the washing method is provided with (1) a contact mechanism for bringing the washing liquid into contact with the clothes to be washed, and (2) a washing tank for preparing the washing liquid, storing the washing liquid and receiving the clothes to be washed and having a washing means. The washing device for performing the washing method is also provided with (1) a washing tank for storing a washing liquid and receiving the clothes to be washed and having a washing means, and (2) a preliminary dissolution tank for preparing the washing liquid and storing the prepared washing liquid.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laundering by which the detergency is excellent even when the concentration of a surfactant is low and which comprises performing laundering under conditions in which an increase in the pH of the laundering fluid occurs after a decrease in the hardness of the fluid and to obtain a detergent composition. SOLUTION: This method comprises adding an alkali agent after a sequestrant is added or comprises effecting the dissolution or dispersion of an alkali agent after the dissolution or dispersion of the sequestrant. It may also comprises adding an alkali agent after the hardness of laundering water is lowered. Attention is paid to the pH during the course in which the hardness of the laundering fluid is slowly decreasing. When the decreasing hardness is 3.5 deg.DH or above, the increase in pH with an alkali agent is delayed so that the pH may be 10.5 or below, whereupon high detergency can be attained. The detergent composition essentially consists of a surfactant, an alkali agent and a sequestrant.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a powder container from a container body and a detachable powder measuring lid and make the container body automatically incline in a direction where a predetermined shaking quantity is correctly shaken out from the powder measuring lid by a user of the container at the time of shake-out of the powder. SOLUTION: A powder container 50 comprises a container body 30 and a powder measuring lid 10 which is attached to the container body 30 detachably and quantatively shakes out a powder body by being inclined in a predetermined shake-out direction. In this case, there are provided a fixing means for fixing the powder measuring lid 10 to the container body 30 in a fixed direction in such a manner that a direction to which the container body 30 is to be inclined at the time of shake-out of the powder body conforms with a predetermined shake-out direction of the powder measuring lid 10, and a shake-out direction guide means which guides a direction to which the container body 30 is to be inclined at the time of shake-out of the powder body. For the fixing means, irregular parts where the powder measuring lid 10 and the container body 30 can be fitted in each other are provided. For the shake-out direction guide means, for example, a flat side wall is provided at the shake-out direction of the container body 30 and a side wall having a curved face is provided in an arrangement opposed to it.

The nonionic surfactant (b) is pref. a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether prepd. by adding 5-15mol (on average) ethylene oxide to a 10-18C prim. or sec. alcohol.
