Abstract: An explosive composition is disclosed which comprises a discontinuous oxidizer phase comprising at least one oxygen-supplying component, a continuous organic phase comprising at least one water-immiscible organic liquid, and an emulsifying amount of at least one nitrogen-containing emulsifier derived from (A) at least one carboxylic acylating agent, (B) at least one polyamine, and (C) at least one acid or acid-producing compound capable of forming at least one salt with said polyamine. These explosive compositions can be water-in-oil emulsions or melt-in-oil emulsions. They can also be explosive compositions derived from such emulsions wherein at temperatures below that at which the emulsion is formed the discontinuous phase is solid or in the form of droplets of supercooled liquid.

Abstract: Un proceso para la obtención de una composición de combustible de hidrocarburo acuoso que comprende: (A) mezclado de un combustible de hidrocarburo normalmente líquido y al menos un aditivo químico para formar una mezcla de combustible de hidrocarburo-aditivo; comprendiendo el aditivo químico una composición emulsionante que consiste en (i) una combinación de (i)(a) un primer producto soluble en combustible de hidrocarburo obtenido por reacción de un primer agente acilante de ácido carboxílico sustituido con hidrocarbilo con una alcanol amina, teniendo el sustituyente hidrocarbilo de dicho primer agente acilante de 50 a 500 átomos de carbono, y (i)(b) un segundo producto soluble en combustible de hidrocarburo obtenido por reacción de un agente acilante de ácido carboxílico sustituido con hidrocarbilo con al menos una etilen poliamina, teniendo dicho sustituyente hidrocarbilo de dicho segundo agente acilante de 50 a 500 átomos de carbono; o una mezcla de (i) y (ii) un compuesto iónico o no iónico que tiene un equilibrio lipófilo - lipófilo de 1 a 10; en combinación con (iii) una sal hidrosoluble distinta a (i) y (ii) representada por la fórmula: K[G(NR3)y)y+nXpen la que G es hidrógeno o un grupo orgánico de 1 a 8 átomos de carbono que tiene una valencia y; cada R es independientemente hidrógeno o un grupo hidrocarbilo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono; Xp- es un anión que tiene una valencia de p; y k, y, n y p son independientemente enteros de al menos 1; siempre que cuando G sea H, y sea 1; y siendo la suma de la carga positiva ky+ igual a la suma de la carga negativa nXp-; y (B) mezclado de dicha combinación de combustible de hidrocarburo-aditivo con agua en condiciones de mezclado de alta cizalla en una mezcladora de alta cizalla para formar dicha composición de combustible de hidrocarburo acuoso, incluyendo dicha composición de combustible de hidrocarburo acuoso una fase acuosa discontinua, consistiendo dicha fase discontinua en gotas acuosas con un diámetro medio de 1, 0 micrómetros o menos.

In one embodiment, the composition further comprises (E) at least one cosurfactant distinct from component (C); in one embodiment, (F) at least one organic cetane improver; and in one embodiment, (G) at least one antifreeze. The invention also relates to a method for fueling an internal combustion engine comprising fueling said engine with the composition of the present invention.
