Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control mercury vapor pressure within a proper range by providing an amalgam formation material on the side end part of a base. CONSTITUTION:An amalgam formation material 24 is provided inside a stem 23 at an end part on the base side of a luminous tube 30. By said material 24, a mercury vapor pressure level is controlled within proper range even when a temperature of the end part on the base side of the tube 30 rises by heat due to a lighting device when lighting under the base. As a result, lowering of a light flux and an excessive temperature rise of a stabilizer due to an increased lamp current can be prevented.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To firmly mount a base on a base mounting section by inserting and holding a grommet in the grommet moving checking section at the end of a barrel section whose tip section is an acute angle and passing it through a pin base and the base mounting section and then removing a pin. CONSTITUTION:A base is screwed and mounted in a base mounting section 3 made of a resin product. A grommet 12 is inserted and held in a pin 11 with a grommet moving checking section 11c at the end of a barrel 11b that is connected to a tip section 11a with an acute angle and is moved horizontally using an air cylinder or by the mechanical driving method. The tip section 11a of the pin 11 breaks through a base shell 6 and penetrates through a hole 5 and then stops the driving of the pin 11 where it reaches the flange section base shell 6 of a grommet 12. When the pin 11 is removed, the grommet 12 is left behind at the base mounting section 3 and the base shell 6 and the base is mounted on the base mounting section 3 using the grommet 12.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable automation by catching the lower end of a heated and softened straight glass tube by means of a stop pin that ejects air from inside, detecting the change of air pressure by means of a sensor, and controlling the heating hour. CONSTITUTION:A stop pin 3 that sends air from an inlet port 5 is provided in a heating furnace 2 that forms a straight glass tube 1 in an annular shape. When the glass tube 1 is stretched by heating, the lower end is put adjacently on the top 4 of the stop pin 3. Besides, a pressure sensor 6 is connected to the center of the stop pin 3 through an outlet port 7. When the glass tube 1 is put adjacently on the top 4, the change of the pressure within the stop pin 3 is detected by means of the sensor 6 and the drive of the heating furnace 2 is controlled based on the signal. As a result, the elongation of the glass tube 1 can automatically be controlled independently of the changes of such as ambient temperature, furnace temperature, thickness of the glass tube and so on, and its quality can be improved and its labor saving can be attained.
