Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for positioning. A receiver measures a time of arrival (ToA) of a positioning reference signal (PRS) transmission of a first PRS sequence transmitted by a first transmitter, measures a ToA of a PRS transmission of a second PRS sequence transmitted by a second transmitter, and determines an observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA) as a difference between the ToA of the PRS transmission of the first PRS sequence and the ToA of the PRS transmission of the second PRS sequence, wherein the OTDOA is less than half a maximum differential delay expected between the PRS transmission of the first PRS sequence and the PRS transmission of the second PRS sequence, and wherein a repetition duration of the first PRS sequence and the second PRS sequence is greater than 10 milliseconds (ms) and at least twice the maximum differential delay.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station by initiating a random access procedure with a two-root preamble. The UE may receive, from the base station, control signaling that indicates a set of root preamble sequences. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a preamble signal that is generated based on a first root preamble sequence and a second root preamble sequence of the set of root preamble sequences. The UE may then monitor for a preamble response based on the preamble signal. In some cases, the base station may be a base station in a terrestrial network. In other cases, the base station may be a satellite in a non-terrestrial network (NTN).

For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a synchronization signal block (SSB) from a base station, the SSB including a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a data payload, and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS). The UE may identify a first part of a cell identifier (ID) of the base station, a second part of the cell ID, or both, indicated in a sequence of the DMRS, indicated in the data payload, or a combination thereof. The UE may monitor for a message from the base station based on identifying the cell ID.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) downlink communication. The UE may detect a collision between a configured uplink resource associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) for the SPS downlink communication and a candidate synchronization signal block (SSB) position. The UE may transmit the HARQ-ACK for the SPS downlink communication in the configured uplink resource or in a deferred uplink resource in connection with detecting the collision. Abstract: A base station may determine one or more parameters of a PDSCH group including multiple PDSCHs for each beam in a plurality of beams, configure a plurality of resources for communication via the PDSCH group based on the determined one or more parameters of the PDSCH group, and transmit, to a UE, an indication of at least one parameter of the one or more parameters of the PDSCH group via the plurality of resources. Abstract: The apparatus is configured to transmit and/or receive GDMRS that may be scrambled based on a same scrambling identifier (ID) and shared for a plurality of UEs or channels. The apparatus, in some configurations, is further configured to multiplex, in time, data for the plurality of UEs or channels into different segments within each symbol in a set of symbols. The apparatus is further configured to transmit and/or receive the multiplexed data for the plurality of UEs or channels. In some configurations, the apparatus is further configured to demodulate the received data based on the GDMRS, and extract at least one segment for a UE or a plurality of channels associated with the apparatus within the demodulated data for subsequent decoding at the apparatus. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a random access preamble to a base station as part of a random access procedure between the UE and the base station. To generate the random access preamble, the UE may repeat each time domain sample of a base sequence on a per-sample basis to obtain a repeated sequence that includes multiple repetitions of each time domain sample of the base sequence, with repetitions of the same sample being consecutive within the repeated sequence. The UE may perform such sample-wise repetition before adding a cyclic prefix (CP) to the repeated sequence or after adding a base CP to the base sequence.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform cell discovery in a window by monitoring for and receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) from a network entity. The UE may receive an indication of a numerical quantity of beams in a set of beams associated with SSB transmission during a discovery window. The UE may map a set of SSB transmissions within the discovery window to a set of SSB candidates within the discovery window using the receive indication of the numerical quantity of beams. The UE may select, for each SSB candidate of the set of SSB candidates, a beam from the set of beams for monitoring each SSB candidate. The UE may monitor the SSB candidates in accordance with the beam selected for each SSB candidate. The UE may then receive one or more SSBs in accordance with the monitoring.
