Abstract: A UE transmits a sidelink synchronization signal in response to a communication trigger, the sidelink synchronization signal including an indication of the communication trigger to be provided to a network. The UE receives a sidelink message from an aerial device in response to the sidelink synchronization signal. An aerial device receives, from a UE, a sidelink synchronization signal including an indication of a communication trigger associated with communication for a network. The aerial device transmits a sidelink message to the UE in response to reception of the sidelink synchronization signal that includes the indication of the communication trigger.

Abstract: A base station may select a plurality of node parameters of a node including at least one of: a number of UEs that have accessed a network while the node is operational, an amount of information that has been communicated through the network while the node is operational, one or more QoS measurements while the node is operational, or one or more resources utilized for operation of the node. The base station may configure, upon selecting the plurality of node parameters, an access threshold for the node based on the plurality of node parameters. The base station may transmit, to the node, an indication of the access threshold for the node based on the plurality of node parameters. The node may configure, upon receiving the indication of the access threshold, access to the node for each of the number of UEs based on the access threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to perform a beam switching operation from a current beam to a target beam based on a beam switching duration. The UE may transmit a capability report that may include an antenna pointing capability, a list of one or more detailed capabilities, or both to another device, such as a network entity (e.g., a satellite). The UE may perform the beam switching operation based on the capability report. The UE may perform a random access procedure as part of a change of association operation. The UE may receive a control message from the other device, which may be the network entity, that includes an identity of a target network entity, one or more resources for the random access procedure, an indication of the beam switching duration, or any combination.

Abstract: A scheduling entity can schedule regular or periodic control resources (CORESETs) that are relatively sparse in the time domain compared to dynamic CORESETS. Sparsely scheduled regular CORESETs can reduce the overhead incurred by a user equipment for monitoring the control channels in the CORESETs or search spaces. When the network has a burst of data to send, the scheduling entity can use downlink control information (DCI) piggybacked in physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) resources to schedule dynamic CORESETs between the regular CORESETs. The dynamic CORESETs can provide resources for a PDSCH and/or physical downlink shared channel (PUSCH).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may dynamically cancel and reschedule configured transmission occasions for communicating with a user equipment (UE). The transmission occasions may be configured according to a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration (e.g., for downlink transmissions) or a configured grant (CG) configuration (e.g., for uplink transmissions). The base station may transmit a dynamic grant to the UE that indicates a cancellation of a transmission occasion and schedules a dynamic transmission occasion for communicating data scheduled for transmission at the canceled transmission occasion. In some examples, the cancellation in the grant may be explicit or implicit.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble configuration that indicates a first preamble format for a first PRACH preamble and a second preamble format for a second PRACH preamble, wherein the first preamble format is different from the second preamble format. The UE may transmit the first PRACH preamble as part of a random access procedure based at least in part on the PRACH preamble configuration, wherein transmitting the first PRACH preamble enables a determination of a symbol boundary offset. The UE may transmit the second PRACH preamble as part of the random access procedure based at least in part on the PRACH preamble configuration, wherein transmitting the second PRACH preamble enables a determination of a symbol timing offset.
