    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film excellent in electromagnetic transducing characteristics, smoothness, friction characteristics to a magnetic head or the like and handleability, and useful for a magnetic recording media by limiting surface properties within specific values. SOLUTION: A solution dissolving an aromatic polyamide and/or an aromatic polyimide is formed into a film by a film-producing method by using the solution. Voronoi distribution as protrusions formed on the surface of the obtained film is carried out, and a relative standard deviation (σ/Xbar) (Xbar is an average area of the Voronoi polygons; σ is the standard deviation) is regulated so as to be =50 mol.% repeating unit of the formula NH-Ar1-NH-CO-Ar2-CO (Ar1 and Ar2 are each phenylene or the like) or the like, and the polyimide preferably has >=50 mol.% repeating unit of formula I (Ar4 is formula II or the like; Ar5 is phenylene or the like) or the like.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film capable of forming surface microprotrusions with slight surface coarse protrusions and developing excellent surface properties by using an aromatic polysulfone and an aromatic polyamide. SOLUTION: This film comprises (A) an aromatic polyamide and (B) an aromatic polysulfone having 235-400 deg.C glass transition temperature and has =0.27 μm height/100 cm2 in at least one surface. The component B preferably has 0.2-1.2 dL/g intrinsic viscosity. The constituent ratio of the components A and B of the film is preferably 90-99.9 wt.% of the component A and 0.1-10 wt.% of the component B based on the whole film. In the film, the number of surface protrusions having 5-30 nm height is preferably 2,000,000-30,000,000/mm2. The film is suitable as a magnetic recording medium having a high output and defectless properties.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film which, in the form of a magnetic recording medium, has good electromagnetic conversion characteristics and durability. SOLUTION: This aromatic polyamide film comprises an arom. polyamide and at least one different kind of polymer, wherein the content of the polymer is 10 to 40 wt.% based on the arom. polyamide, the solubility parameter δa of the arom. polyamide and the solubility parameter δb of the dissimilar polymer meet the equation: 50 (MJ/m ) ) |δa-δb| ) , and, on at least one side of the film, the number of protrusions having a height of not less than 5 nm is 3×10 to 50×10 /mm , the number of protrusions having a height of not less than 50 nm is not more than 25×10 /mm , and the sectional area of protrusions cut on a horizontal plane at a height of 5 nm is 5 to 40% of the measured area.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithium carbonate particle having small particle diameters, uniformity and a small amount of impurities by reacting an aqueous solution of lithium with an aqueous solution of a carbonate compound and/or carbonic acid while stirring so as to make Reynolds number within a specific range. SOLUTION: A reactor equipped with a stirring blade in a cylindrical container is charged with an aqueous solution of lithium. The aqueous solution of lithium is reacted with an aqueous solution of a carbonate compound and/or carbonic acid of 0.4-0.9 the number of mols of lithium at 40-90 deg.C while stirring so as to make a Reynolds number 10 to 10 . A formed hydrated lithium carbonate particle is separated and dried to give the objective lithium carbonate particle. The collected lithium carbonate particle has 1-200μm average particle diameter, =250μm particle diameter, =0.5μm particle diameter, >=50% of a particle having 1-100μm particle diameter, the maximum peak of a particle diameter distribution within the range of 1-80μm and >=25% frequency of the maximum peak.
