Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled polyester fibers, having the cooling crystallization peak temperature, peak half-width value thereof, birefringence, residual elongation and intrinsic viscosity present within respective specific ranges and suitable for high-speed warping, knitting and weaving. CONSTITUTION:Polyester fibers obtained by specifying the cooling crystallization peak temperature measured by a differential scanning calorimeter at >=195 deg.C, preferably >=200 deg.C, half-width value thereof at =5,000m/min, etc. A high strength is attained while sustaining a high elongation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate penetration of a photosensitive resin to enhance an adhesion, by a method wherein; after a specific polyester monofilament is woven into a screen, a treatment for loss in weight is conducted with a solvent to apply emboss patterns on the surface of the fiber cloth. CONSTITUTION:A monofilament, containing fine particles in a polyester having ethylene terephthalate units 80mol% ore more, is woven into a screen, thereafter being treated to reduce the weight with a solvent capable of dissolving or decomposing the polyester such as caustic soda water solution, whereby the fine particles and the polymer around the fine particles are removed as much as possible to generate sophisticated emboss patterns on the surface of the fiber. In this manner, the increase of the surface area and the penetration of a photosensitive resin into the sophisticated emboss patterns are realized, thus enabling improvement of an adhesion. The fine particles of, for example, mica, talc, kaolin, glass powder, zirconium silicate, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, and silica, can be used here; especially the calcium carbonate and silica are preferable.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A yarn drawn under specific conditions is heat-set under specific conditions to obtain a polyester yarn which has high elasticity and low shrinkage, thus is suitably used in woven fabrics for rubber reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:A polyester with an intrinsic viscosity of over 1.1, preferably 1.3-1.5 is melt-extruded into filaments, solidified by cooling and taken up at a speed of over 1,500m/min, preferably 2,000-6,000m/min, and drawn at a ratio of less than 5, preferably 1.5-4. After completion of drawing which corresponds to more than 80% of the total draw ratio, heat treatment is conducted under multistage stretching of inched step to give polyester fiber with an intrinsic viscosity of over 0.92. The heat-set temperature is preferably over 150 deg.C.
