Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain concentrated sludge of high concentration by constructing a stirring blade with a net material to prevent generation of bridge without disturbing the flow of the sludge. CONSTITUTION:Filthy water contg. sludge is fed from a feed pipe 3. The direction of the flow is once deflected upward by a feeding port 15, but is straightened thereafter in a flow straightening cylinder 4. The raised water, i.e. the water to be treated flows over an overflow weir 2 and is gathered in a discharging groove 5 and is discharged to the outside of the system from an outlet port 6. On one hand, the sludge is stirred during settling by the stirring blade 13, splitted finely by the net material 14 in the vertical, and horizontal direction and also in the composite direction. Thus, upward passage of water flow is secured, and formation of bridge by the sludge particles with each other is eliminated. Further, the dispersed sludge gathers again and settles as sludge of high concn. The sludge settling to the bottom surface of the settling tank 1 is collected by a sludge collecting blade 12 and is withdrawn to the outside from a discharge pipe 8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a solid-liquid separation apparatus high in suction effect in a vacuum suction part and capable of preventing the damage of filter cloth, constituted by forming each of a plurality of filter cloth guide rolls, which are mounted to the vacuum suction part of a filter cloth back surface side and mutually arranged in parallel, from a cylindrical roll with orifices or a roll with grooves. CONSTITUTION:A solid-liquid mixture 6 is supplied to filter cloth running toward a direction shown by the arrow in an endless state and the liquid component thereof is collected in a filtrate receiving tank 8 through the filter cloth 1 by gravity and vacuum sucking action applied to said tank 8. At this time, the interior of the tank 8 can be maintained to a desired vacuum degree by reduced power because each filter cloth guide roll 10 is a cylindrical roll with orifices. In the next step, the liquid component collected in the tank 8 is discharged out of a dehydrator from a discharge port 9. On the other hand, the component on the filter cloth 1 is carried between the transfer drum 14 and a squeeze roll 15 with the running of the filter cloth 1 to obtain a solid component. The filter cloth 1 is washed from the front and back surfaces by water spray nozzle 17, 18 and the liquid component due to washing is further squeezed off by a drain roll 19 to again subject the filter cloth 1 to dehydration.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make measurement accurately and rapidly by blowing an oxygen- contg. gas into culture liquid, and controlling the humidity of the aeration exhaust gas produced from a culture tank and the oxygen-contg. gas then comparing the differences in oxygen concn. with a reference gas. CONSTITUTION:An aeration blowing gas contg. oxygen is sent from an air diffusion pipe 8a into a culture tank 1 which is tightly closed by a lead-in pipe 2. The exhaust gas produced by aeration is conducted via an exhaust pipe 4 into the collecting device 12a of a humidity controller 10, where it is humidified by water and is made into a measuring gas. This gas is conducted via piping 14a into an oxygen meter 15. On the other hand, part of the aeration blowing gas is diffused by the gas diffusion pipe 8c in the humidity control device 10 and is collected by a collecting device 12b. This gas is used as a reference gas and is conducted via piping 14b into the oxygen meter 15. Then, in the oxygen meter 15, the difference in the oxygen concn. between both gases is measured whereby the rate of oxygen utilization of microorganisms is measured.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of light receiving cells and to shorten the intake time of a light transmission distribution. SOLUTION: A flaw detection apparatus detects a flaw formed in a sheet 12, to be inspected, whose light transmittance is at 1/100000 or higher and 1/100 or lower. The flaw detection apparatus is provided with a line sensor camera 54 in which light receiving cells having the area of a measuring region on the sheet 12, to be inspected, per piece at 10 times or higher and 100 times or lower the area of an assumed minimum point flaw are arranged in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional shape and which is used to measure the light transmission distribution, with a second light source 52, for inspection, which is arranged so as to face the line sensor camera 54 and which irradiates a beam of light toward the line sensor camera 54, with conveyance rollers 26A to 26F which convey the sheet 12, to be inspected, in such a way that the sheet 12 to be inspected is passed between the line sensor camera 54 and the second light source 53 for inspection in a direction crossing the irradiation direction of the light source 52 for inspection and with a flaw detection means which detects a point flaw formed in the sheet 12, to be inspected, on the basis of the measured light transmission distribution.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the detection error of a flaw by measuring the light transmission distribution of a beam of light which has been transmitted through a sheetlike object. SOLUTION: In a light-transmission-distribution measuring apparatus, the light transmission distribution of a sheet 12, to be inspected, whose light transmittance is at 1/100000 or higher and 1/100 or lower is measured. Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow easy and highly accurate detection of abnormal hollow fiber in the resin agent layer of a hollow fiber module. CONSTITUTION:A resin agent layer C1 is irradiated, on the side face thereof, with light emitted from a light emitting ring section 202 and the light, reflected on an abnormal hollow fiber toward the end face of the resin agent layer C1, forms a high quantity of light part thereon. A quantity of light measuring unit 3 measures the quantity of light on the end face of the resin agent layer C1 and a binarizing section 403 separates a part having luminance higher than a predetermined threshold. When an deciding section 503 makes a decision that the total area of high luminance part exceeds a reference value, an operating section 7 delivers a command for discriminating the inspected hollow fiber module M. A display section 6 displays the decision results. This equipment allows highly accurate automatic detection of the presence of abnormal hollow fiber.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain high solid-liquid separating efficiency with a simple device by providing washing nozzles and combers on the upstream side of an endless filter cloth having a bristle filter layer on the surface to said cloth thereby improving the washing effect of the filter cloth. CONSTITUTION:The endless filter cloth 1 having the bristle filter layer on the surface is driven in an arrow direction by a driving roll 2. Solid and liquid are supplied from a solid and liquid supply tank 6. The supplied solid and liquid are subjected to pressure reduction and suction in a filtrate receiving tank 8 by which the liquid component is removed therefrom. The solid and liquid are further compressed by a transfer drum 11 and a compressing roll 12 to squeeze away the liquid component. The formed cake is scraped by a scraper 13. Water is injected to the filter cloth 1 from the 1st washing nozzle 14 to wash the filter cloth. The bristling directions on the surface of the cloth 1 are arranged by the 1st comber 19. The rear of the cloth 1 is further washed by the 2nd washing nozzle 15 and thereafter the bristling directions are arranged by the 2nd comber 20. The solid components taken deeply into the filter layer are thus easily and surely removed.
