Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a lithographic printing plate in which ink can be efficiently repelled by setting the water absorption amount of a non-printing element part made of a hydrophilic swelled layer to a specific range and setting the amount of the part to less than the amount of the non-printing element part. CONSTITUTION: In a lithographic printing plate which can be formed of a photosensitive lithographic printing plate original plate using pure water as moistening water without necessity of physical development, the water absorption amount of a non-printing element part made of a hydrophilic swelled layer is set to 1 to 50g/m , and the water absorption amount of a printing element part is set to less than the amount of the non-printing element part. In this case, the thickness of the swelled layer is set to 0.2 to 10g/m , and the water absorption rate of the swelled layer is set to 10 to 2000%. An active light ray is emitted to the surface of the original plate having the swelled layer to generate the difference of the amounts between the element part and the non-printing element part, and the lithographic printing plate in which ink can be efficiently repelled is manufactured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance moldability, heat resistance and impact resistance by mixing a reinforcing filler with a cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate type polyester resin with specific intrinsic viscosity containing a repeating unit wherein a terephthalic acid residue and a 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residue are bonded. CONSTITUTION:1-40wt.% of a reinforcing.filler is compounded with a cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate type polyester resin with intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-2.0 containing 80mol% or more of a repeating unit wherein a terephthalic acid residue and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residue are bonded to prepare a resin compsn. which is, in turn, subjected to blow molding. The cis/trans ratio (mol ratio) of the 1,4-cyclohexane ring PCT type polyester is pref. 60/40-10/90. The reinforcing filler is a fibrous, granular or flaky filler and a glass fiber is especially pref.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a press plate by sequentially providing a thermosensitive curable ink coating layer having a specific thickness and containing photothermal conversion substance and a polymer layer having an oxygen permeability of a specific thickness on a hydrophilic base thereby simplifying as compared with a conventional direct lithography type lithographic printing plate. SOLUTION: A hydrophilic swelling layer having properties of a dry film thickness of 5 μm or less, a water absorption amount of 1 to 50 g/m2 and a water swelling rate of 10 to 2,000%, a thermosensitive layer containing a compound group curable by photothermal conversion substance and a heat and a dry film thickness of 5 μm or less, and a polymer layer for forming a film of 1 μm or more are sequentially provided on a base. Oxygen permeability of the polymer layer is set to 30 cm3.cm-2.24 hr-1.atm-1 or less. A laser beam is illuminated to this master to cure the thermosensitive layer of an exposure part, and then the polymer layer is released. Thus, the thermosensitive layer of an unexposure part is released together with the polymer layer, the hydrophilic swelling layer of a non-image part is exposed, thereby forming an ink repellent non-image part.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high ink repellency and excellent printing durability by sequentially providing an ink receiving layer, a heat sensitive layer and a hydrophilic swelling layer in this order on a base plate, forming the heat sensitive layer of a thin film of a carbon and/or metal of a specific film thickness, and forming the ink receiving layer of a specific compound. SOLUTION: To efficiently absorb a laser beam, a heat sensitive layer is formed of a thin film having a film thickness of 1,000 Angstrom or less made of a carbon and/or a metal. An ink receiving layer has rigid adhesive properties of the plate to the sensitive layer and carries a role of a thermal insulating layer. The receiving layer is made of a polymer compound obtained from a monomer having a hydroxyl group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, isocyanate group, or epoxy group or a compound having a hydroxyl group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, or epoxy group. Since the receiving layer contains a chemical bond having such an oxygen or a functional group having an oxygen, adhesive properties of the receiving layer to a hydrophilic swelling layer become rigid, and an ink repellency and printing durability are improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate having an excellent ink repellency and high printing durability without desensitizing by sequentially providing a primer layer and a hydrophilic swelling layer on a base plate, incorporating a gelatin, casein or the like in the primer layer and incorporating a crosslinking structure therein. SOLUTION: A primer layer necessarily contains a protein and/or a synthetic resin and has a crosslinking structure. As the protein used for the primer layer, one or more protein selected from a gelatin, casein, albumin, or soybean protein. As the resin, a polyvinylether, polyvinyl pyrrolidone or the like is used. The structure may be crosslinked by modifying part of the protein and/or the resin by heating or the like or by using a crosslinker for forming the structure. The lithographic printing plate having a hydrophilic swelling layer using such a primer layer has excellent printing durability and good ink repellency even after printing many sheets.
