Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a large screen and highly fine barrier rib in a simple process, and reduce cost, by charging a paste for the barrier rib made of inorganic powders and organic components into a forming die having a recessed part to form a compact and then transferring the compact onto a glass substrate on which an adhesive layer is formed to form a barrier rib pattern. SOLUTION: A photosensitive paste 5 is coated on a forming die 1, this is sufficiently charged into a recessed part with an ink roll 6, and then residual paste on a surface is removed with a cleaning roll 7 or a doctor blade. In this case, a photosensitive organic component is used as an organic component mixed into the paste, the paste charged into the forming die is photo-cured by radiating ultraviolet on it with an ultraviolet radiating device such as a super high pressure mercury-arc lamp, and a cured compact is easily provided. Thus, die separation in transfer is performed smoothly, and a barrier rib pattern having a desired height and shape is formed on a glass substrate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide photosensitive paste having excellent appliability and many kinds of high-aspect ratio and high-precision shapes, by having, as indispensable components, a photosensitive organic component and inorganic powder having, in the prescribed ranges, an average refractive index, an average particle diameter, and the maximum particle diameter. SOLUTION: Photosensitive paste is produced from indispensable components, namely, a photosensitive organic component mainly composed of a photosensitive monomer and a photosensitive oligomer or a photosensitive polymer, including a photopolymerization initiator and a ultraviolet-ray adsorbent, and inorganic powder having an average refractive index in the range of 1.5-1.7, an average particle diameter measured by laser dispersion or a diffraction method of 1.5-6 μm, and the maximum particle diameter of 7-40 μm, preferably, 10-30 μm. When the inorganic powder has a tap density of 0.6 g/cm3 or more, preferably, 0.7 g/cm3 or more, the powder has excellent fillability and dispersibility, and air bubbles or agglomerate substances are seldom produced, therefore, the photosensitive paste having high optical transmittance and an excellent pattern characteristic can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form an electrode by forming one mold by filling conductive paste composed of metallic powder, glass frit and an organic component in a mold die having a recessed part for the electrode, forming the other mold by transferring this to an intermediate body, and baking this after transferred on a substrate. SOLUTION: After filling conductive paste in the recessed part 2, the conductive paste is dried/hardened by the light to obtain a mold (a mold body A) 6. Next, the mold is transferred to an intermediate body to form a mold (a mold body B). This intermediate body is composed of a metallic sheet having high rigidity and the surface layer using a resilient and nonadhesive material. When transferring the mold 6 formed in the recessed part 2 of a mold die 1 to the surface layer part of the intermediate body, the surface of the mold die 1 and the surface layer part of the intermediate body are oppositely arranged, and are pressed down by a press roller from the metallic sheet side of the intermediate body to be transferred to the surface layer part to form a mold. This mold is oppositely arranged on glass substrate to be transferred to the glass substrate to be baked.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a member arranged or constituted in the upper part with high accuracy, and to enhance serviceability to an image forming device by making an insulating film optically transparent by providing a specific thickness and surface roughness, and setting whole light beam transmissivity not less than a specific value. SOLUTION: A film is formed by applying and baking a material by enhancing dispersibility and denseness of particles by using paste composed of particles having the average particle size of 0.3 to 1.5 μm and the maximum particle size not more than 10 μm being glass and the like containing bismuth oxide or lead oxide by a prescribed quantity. In adjusting a thickness, viscosity of the paste and a printing condition are properly selected so that the thickness is set to 0.5 to 5 μm, and in adjusting surface roughness, the particle size and a heat characteristic of glass powder are strictly controlled so that the surface roughness Ra is set to 0.01 to 0.5 μm. A pattern such as electrode wiring, a partition wall or a phosphor layer can be accurately formed with excellent adhesion by smoothing the surface, and can be suitably used for an image forming device using an electron emitting element.
