Abstract:
A capping unit for capping containers with respective caps, each presenting a spray head with a ring nut for fitting it to the threaded neck of the container; the capping unit presenting at least one capping head wherein a first gripping device grips a respective spray head, and a second gripping device presents two jaws for gripping the ring nut and rotating it in relation to the first gripping device; each jaw presenting a gripping roller integral with a respective planetary gear of an epicyclic drive wherein each planetary gear is barrel-shaped and presents teeth in turn presenting a convex longitudinal profile and meshing permanently with a straight-toothed outer ring gear regardless of the position of the relative jaw.
Abstract:
A capping unit wherein a number of capping heads, movable with a supporting carrousel conveyor about a first axis, are each rotated about a respective second axis by a respective first shaft movable axially on the carrousel conveyor, for moving the respective head to and from a respective container movable with the carrousel conveyor and coaxial with the second axis. Each head provides for closing the respective container with a cap presenting an internally threaded ring nut mounted for rotation on a pump-operated nozzle, and presents a first and second gripping device for respectively gripping the nozzle and the ring nut and controlled by a second shaft movable axially in relation to the first shaft. The first gripping device is angularly fixed in relation to the carrousel conveyor, whereas the second gripping device rotates with the capping head about the second axis.
Abstract:
A chuck apparatus for threading a cap having a spout onto a bottle has a chuck with opposing gripping jaws for gripping the cap; a chuck rotating assembly for rotating the chuck to thread the cap on the bottle; a shaft connected with the chuck and an assembly for epicyclically rotating the shaft about a central axis; a raising and lowering assembly for raising and lowering the chuck out of and into engagement with the cap; a coupling rotatably connected with the shaft, and a cam assembly for raising and lowering the coupling; a spout alignment assembly for maintaining the spout at a first predetermined orientation with respect to the bottle while the chuck is rotated to thread the cap on the bottle, and including a saddle for engaging the spout, and a rod extending coaxially and rotatably through the shaft, for supporting the saddle above the gripping jaws in the first predetermined rotational orientation; and a chuck aligning assembly for aligning the chuck in a second predetermined orientation with respect to the spout after the chuck has threaded the cap on the bottle and for locking the chuck at the second predetermined orientation, such that the chuck can be raised away from the cap without interference from the spout when the chuck is locked at the second predetermined orientation, the chuck aligning assembly including a finger for preventing rotation of the shaft, and an actuating arrangement for moving the finger to rotationally lock the shaft or to permit rotation of the shaft.
Abstract:
The invention deals with the field of screwing heads for small trigger-type pumps or triggers and namely for applying, on vessels, triggers equipped with a threaded securing ring nut (2). This screwing head (1 ) is rotated around a vertical axis through a permanent magnet-type clutch and comprises four rollers (5) which tighten the toothed ring nut (2) when screwing it; said rollers (5) are supported by vertical arms (4) whose axes are arranged at 90° one from the other on a circumference with its centre on the rotation axis of the screwing head. The vertical arms (4) and the four rollers (5) are simultaneously carried along a radial direction towards said ring nut through an oscillating movement.
Abstract:
A capping unit (1) wherein a number of capping heads (63), movable with a supporting carrousel conveyor (10) about a first axis (11), are each rotated about a respective second axis (47a) by a respective first shaft (61) movable axially on the carrousel conveyor (10), for moving the respective head (63) to and from a respective container (3) movable with the carrousel conveyor (10) and coaxial with the second axis (47a). Each head (63) provides for closing the respective container (3) with a cap (5) presenting an internally threaded ring nut (6) mounted for rotation on a pump-operated nozzle (9), and presents a first and second gripping device (83, 84) for respectively gripping the nozzle (9) and the ring nut (6) and controlled by a second shaft (64) movable axially in relation to the first shaft (61). The first gripping device (83) is angularly fixed in relation to the carrousel conveyor (10), whereas the second gripping device (84) rotates with the capping head (63) about the second axis (47a).
Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of screwing heads for trigger pumps provided with a threaded fixing ring nut (2) for the application on vessels by a gripping lever assembly (11). The method comprises the steps of: screwing the ring nut (2) on the threaded mouth of the vessel by screwing it to the body until the screwing torque reaches a preset value; performing a first detachment of the means (11) for tightening the ring nut (2); rotating the tightening means (11), by an associated motor, relocating them in their starting configuration, by clearing the trigger (5) from the levers (11); lastly, performing a further opening of the tightening means (11) from the ring nut (2); this operation being necessary for completely opening the gripper and clearing the trigger (5).
