Hub for information media, the hub comprising an outer winding area having a width, a central bore and a center point located on the hub, driving grooves on a circumference of the hub, an outer ring, an inner ring, and a connector for connecting the outer ring with the inner ring. The width of the outer winding area of the hub is at least equal to a width of the information medium. The connector comprises diagonal ribs running diagonally at a slant in an axial direction and sloping alternately in accordance with two axial directions of the hub and in neighboring segments, wherein respective pairs of neighboring diagonal ribs are sloped in different directions and have a further rib between them, and wherein their plane is formed by a radial direction from the center point of the hub to the further rib and an axis of rotation of the hub.

The ink-receiving layer comprises silica dispersions modified with alkylsilanes, water-soluble plasticizers and polymeric ink fixatives. The material provides image recording in photo quality on conventional types of printers.

Die Erfindung betrifft also eine Rückseitenbeschichtung (Rückguss, Backcoat) eines Thermotransfer- und/oder Thermosublimationsproduktes, bei der erstmals eine geschlossene Beschichtung mit Gleit- und/oder Schmiermittel und einem Bindemittel vorgestellt wird, so dass durch die Beschichtung nicht nur die Gleiteigenschaften des Bandes optimiert werden, sondern auch die Haftung der Schicht am Träger verbessert wird. Dadurch werden die Verklebungen und der Abrieb, die beim prozess üblicherweise stattfinden minimiert.

The invention relates to a magnetic recording medium comprising a) a layer carrier, b) at least one lower non-magnetic layer which is applied to said carrier and comprises at least one binding agent, and c) an upper magnetic layer which is applied to the lower layer, and which, dispersed in at least one binding agent, comprises at least one magnetic metal pigment or metal alloy pigment having a passivating envelope. Said recording medium is characterised in that the upper magnetic layer has a maximum dry thickness of 300 nm; the magnetic metal pigment or metal alloy pigment has a maximum length I of 90 nm; and the length I' of the metal core, the length I of the pigment, and the shortest recording wavelength lambda for the magnetic recording on the medium follow the relation: I'/I#1-18/ lambda . At least the binding agent of the magnetic layer contains both chlorine and epoxy groups, or is free of chloride.

It consists of a novel closed coat comprising a slipping agent and/or lubricant, such that, said coating not only optimizes the gliding properties of the strip, but enhances as well the adherence of the coat to the substrate, thereby minimizing bonding and abrasion usually occurring during the process.

A continuous material guide roller (14) essentially composed of a cylindrical thin-walled hollow body (4) with side surfaces (2) and fine through openings (5) on its peripheral surface. When a vacuum or compressed air is applied in the inner area of the cylinder (7), non-slip rotationally driven continuous material guide rollers and fixed or rotating air bearing rollers can be realized. Guide rollers, deflector rollers and feed rollers can be used in all types of continuous material conveyor equipment. Such rollers can be used advantageously in conveyor equipment for plastic or metal sheets and strips of film, paper and magnetic tape.
