Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a drive device for a vehicle roof cover composable of a comparatively small number of comparatively simple members and capable of being noiselessly actuated. CONSTITUTION: A drive device of a vehicle member movable between end positions, has an electric motor 22 connected through a shift gear device 23 to a driving pinion 20 connected in driving to a movable member and an electric motor control switch device to stop the electric motor at least in a single prescribed position of the movable member. A switching gear rotated by an angle smaller than 360 deg. through an eccentric gear device 40 when moving the member between the end positions, is useful for actuation of the switch device. The eccentric gear device has an external gear 44 having an internal toothing tine coaxial to a common shaft 26 of the shift gear device and the eccentric gear device and an internal gear having an external toothing line meashing with the internal toothing line by being journalled to an eccentric connected to the shaft so as not to idly rotate for relative rotation of the internal gear 43 and the eccentric 42.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent combustion gas from entering the interior of an automobile during the operation of a heating system for an automobile. CONSTITUTION: This system includes an auxiliary heater which can be operated independently of an engine of an automobile and is adapted to feed air for heating to the interior of the automobile, wherein a sensor 10 is disposed in the interior not to damage the health of an occupant in the interior and not to produce the danger for the life. The concentration of at least one component of air components in the interior is detected and monitored by the sensor 10. An evaluating device 11 is connected to the sensor 10, and when each concentration of air components in the interior detected and monitored by the sensor exceeds a preset limit value, the heater is automatically intercepted by the evaluating device 11, or is disabled to operate permanently. To be desirable, the oxygen concentration in the air and/or CO/CO2 concentration in the interior 2 of the automobile are detected by the sensor 10. Further, the evaluating device 11 is connected to alarm devices 15, 16 for generating an acoustic signal and/or an optical signal in a case where the detected concentration exceeds the preset limit value.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To preheat fuel economically by placing a fuel preheating pipe section in the flow passage of combustion gases flowing in a heat exchanger in an automobile heater having a heat exchanger wherein heat is transferred between the combustion gases produced by a burner and a heat transfer medium. CONSTITUTION: An automobile heater 1 has a burner 2 burning fuel from a fuel feed pipe 3, and high-temperature combustion gases generated therein are supplied to a heat exchanger 5, where the temperature of a heat transfer medium flowing in the heat exchanger 5 is elevated by heat exchange. The combustion gases after the heat exchange flow to an exhaust gas collecting chamber 6 and flow out via an exhaust gas outlet 7. In this case, a fuel preheating pipe section 10 in the form of a pipe loop 11 is placed near the exterior wall 12 of the exhaust gas collecting chamber 6 upstream of the outlet 7 along the flow direction of exhaust gas toward the outlet 7. The suction side and release side of the pipe loop 11 are branchingly connected to the fuel fed pipe 3 upstream of a filter 13.

CONSTITUTION: Output of an exhaust gas burner 2 for regenerating a particle filter 7 is controlled by using a fuel quantity closed-loop control device 10 to control the fuel from a fuel pump 9. Here, in a closed-loop and a closed-loop output control device 11, an intermediate pressure of an internal combustion engine 3 from an accelerator sensor 15, a speed of the internal combustion engine 3 from a speed sensor 16 and a temperature downstream from the burner in a middle segment 8 from a temperature sensor 17 are inputted as functions based on which the fuel quantity closed-loop control device 10 is controlled. As a consequence, the output of the burner 2 can be controlled to rapidly and accurately follow the load fluctuation of the internal combustion engine 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To accelerate combustion reaction by using heat generated in a precombustion chamber to prepare fuel introduced into an afterburning chamber. CONSTITUTION: In a burner 1, a portion of exhaust gas flow is sent into a precombustion chamber 2 and an afterburning chamber 3 by an exhaust gas feed device 10, 10a. Further, a portion of fuel 9a, 9b is fed by a fuel feed device 6 into the precombustion chamber 2 through nozzle holes 8a, 8b of a nozzle 7. Next, due to the combustion in the precombustion chamber 2, at lest a part of the amount of the fuel passes through an opening 14 in a barrier 13 to become a fuel jet 9 fed into the afterburning chamber 3. Here, an auxiliary air feed device 11 is employed to send auxiliary air into the precombustion chamber 2 so as to stabilize the combustion of the exhaust gas. As a consequence, the burner 1 can be attained with a small size since the heat generated from the precombustion chamber 2 is used for the preparation of the fuel jet 9 introduced into the afterburning chamber 3 to accelerate the combustion reaction.

CONSTITUTION: In a vaporizing type burner 1, a support body 4 for an absorbing body 5 is formed in the shape of a pot and provided with a bottom 6. A part of an ignition chamber 9 consists of an outer peripheral part 8 of a support body 4, and the opposite side to the bottom 6 of the support body 4 is closed by a support member 10 for an ignition device 11, and the support member 10 is removably coupled to the support body 4 and a burner chamber 3. A rodform glow plug 12 and a flame monitoring device 16 is mounted as the ignition device 11 on the support member 10. A seal 17 prevents liquid fuel from outflow to the outside through a gap between the burner chamber 3 and the support body 4. This constitution relieves a problem on a seal and exchanges the ignition device and the flame monitoring device regardless of the support body and irrelevantly exchanges the absorbing body and the support body, and reduces repair and maintenance costs.

The gap 8 and the unit 6 are simply joined by one screw 9, and connection becomes simple and correct by the shape of the plug 7, moreover a sub-unit can be possible to change at the time of failure.

A solenoid valve 13 which is a regulating device is arranged in the midway of the connection pipe 12. In this way, it is possible to introduce the combustion air of which the volume is regulated into a combustion air inlet of the burner 10.
