Abstract: PURPOSE: A fuel gas supply system is provided to reduce a cooling load for reliquefaction of boil-off gas by utilizing the cold heat of boil-off gas and LNG. CONSTITUTION: A fuel gas supply system comprises a high pressure pump(170), a vaporizer(180), a reliquefying device(140), a compressing unit(120), and a refrigerant pre-cooling heat exchanger(110). The high pressure pump draws out LNG from an LNG tank and compresses the LNG to high pressure. The vaporizer is installed in the middle of the fuel gas supply line after the high pressure pump. The reliquefying apparatus reliquefies the evaporative gas generating in the LNG tank. The compressing unit is installed in the middle of an evaporative gas liquefaction line connected from the LNG tank to the reliquefying apparatus and compresses the evaporative gas generating in the LNG tank. The refrigerant pre-cooling heat exchanger is installed between the LNG tank and the compressing unit and implements heat exchange between refrigerant and the evaporative gas circulating in the reliquefying device.

The fuel gas supply system of the ship comprises a LNG fuel tank(1); the MEGI engine which is the high pressure gas injection engine; the high pressure pump(2) which compresses LNG in the high pressure and sent to the MEGI engine; the evaporation unit vaporizing LNG of the high pressure, is installed at the backend of the high pressure pump. The evaporation method is the heater(5). The LNG fuel tank is separately installed as the fuel tank of the ship. The LNG fuel tank is the LNG storage tank of the LNG carrier.

Abstract: A system and a method for supplying a ship with fuel gas are provided to prevent pressure rising inside an LNG tank by inhibiting accumulation of BOG(Boil-Off Gas) in the LNG tank. A system for supplying a ship with fuel gas includes an LNG tank(1), an LNG supply line(L1), a heat exchanger(3), first and second pumps(2,4), a BOG liquefying line(L2), a heater(5), a compressor(6), and a cooler(7). The LNG supply line provides a high pressure gas spraying engine with LNG. The heat exchanger is installed midway on the LNG supply line for transferring heat between the LNG and BOG, supplies temperature-risen LNG to the high pressure gas spraying engine, and returns temperature-lowered BOG to the LNG tank. The first pump is installed on the LNG supply line above the heat exchanger and compresses the LNG as required pressure for the high pressure gas spraying engine to be provided to the high pressure gas spraying engine. The BOG liquefying line returns the BOG from the heat exchanger back to the LNG tank. The second pump is installed on the LNG supply line below the heat exchanger and compresses heat transferred LNG to be provided to the high pressure gas spraying engine. The heater heats the heat transferred LNG. The compressor and the cooler cool the BOG to be provided to the heat exchanger.
