PURPOSE: A decoding device, a decoding method and a computer readable recoding medium are provided to conveniently define the FU connection relation by defining the FU through a token. CONSTITUTION: In order to configure a decoder(300) which decodes an encoded bitstream, a configuration unit(100) receives the input from a DD(Decoder Description). A configuration unit selects at least one FU(Function Unit) in a VTL(Video Too Library)(200), and configures the decoder through the mutual connection with a selected FU. The DD includes the connection information for the connection of FUs to the names of the FU necessary for the configuration of the decoder, and the VTL stores plural FUs.

PURPOSE: A decoding apparatus and a method, an encoding method and a computer-readable storage medium are provided to make the connection relation of the functional units simple. CONSTITUTION: A functional unit having the connect information, which the storage is expressed in a token, is stored. A variable decoder(300) receives decoder description including the connection relation information consisting of an identifier and a token of a functional unit. The variable decoder selects the corresponding functional unit from a storage. The variable decoder interconnects the selected functional units by the token.

A device for providing svc video contents and a method thereof are provided to efficiently produce and store SVC(Scalable Video Coding) video contents based on SVC file format. A multiplexer(120) decides video and audio stream on the bypass to provide a real time streaming service. The multiplexer integrates video and audio stream for offering a VoD streaming service. The multiplexer stores the file transformed to the SVC file format of the whole resolution in a storage(140). The demultiplexer(150) bypasses video and audio stream to provide a real time streaming service. According to a request of a user for the VoD streaming service, the demultiplexer separates the SVC file format file of the whole resolution stored in the storage into video and audio stream. A video data extractor(160) extracts a part of the video stream outputted from demultiplexer. The video data extractor outputs a target video stream of the user requested resolution. A transceiving unit(170) transmits the target video stream and audio stream to a terminal.

A method for predicting an image in a multi-view video codec and a computer-readable recording medium recording a program therefor are provided to generate the most similar image as an image at a visual point to be currently compressed using various visual points, thereby improving the efficiency of encoding. A method for predicting an image in a multi-view video codec comprises the followings: dividing the image into plural reference blocks(S110); acquiring information about different reference images according to time(S120); acquiring information about different reference images according to a visual point(S130); and predicting a target block using the acquired information(S140).

본 고안은 방송신호를 실시간으로 시청할 수 있고, 사용자의 요구에 따라 바로 이전에 수신하여 시청하였던 방송신호를 재시청할 수 있는 방송신호 수신장치를 제공한다. 본 고안은 튜너부가 방송신호를 수신하여 출력하는 스트림을 소정의 시간동안 버퍼에 저장하여 두고, 사용자 인터페이스부를 통해 입력되는 사용자의 동작명령에 따라 제어부가 버퍼를 제어하여 버퍼가 현재 저장하는 스트림 또는 이전 시간에 저장한 스트림을 출력하도록 한다. 그리고 버퍼가 출력하는 현재 스트림 또는 이전 시간의 스트림을 스트림 처리부가 처리하여 사용자가 시청할 수 있게 한다. 그러므로 사용자는 자신의 선택에 따라 튜너부가 현재 방송신호를 수신하여 출력하는 현재 스트림 또는 이전시간 스트림을 선택적으로 시청할 수 있고, 중요한 장면 등을 시청하지 못하였을 경우에 그 중요한 장면을 바로 재시청하는 것이 가능하다.
