PURPOSE: An interacting robot is provided to improve a processing speed and process efficiency by generally controlling the reaction of the human body recognized by a recognition module. CONSTITUTION: An interacting robot comprises a recognition part(110), a service provider(120) and an interaction part(130). The recognition part figures out the person's intention by using sensing information about the human. The service provider offers the service corresponding to the intention and senses the reaction of the human body.

PURPOSE: A gesture recognition apparatus, and a robot system having the same are provided to recognize four gestures such as waving, calling, raising, stopping gesture for remote distance interactivity. CONSTITUTION: A human detection unit(120) detects the face region of a user from an input image. A gesture area setting unit(130) establishes a gesture domain based on the detected face region. An arm detection unit(150) detects arm region of the user within the gesture domain. A gesture decision unit(160) distinguishes a target gesture of the user within the gesture domain with the location of the arm domain, and the analysis of the type information and movement directivity.

PURPOSE: Automotive headlight control device and method are provided to automatically control the brightness of an automotive headlight by using the front image information photographed in a front camera. CONSTITUTION: A pedestrian detection unit (230) detects the entire body and the entire face of a pedestrian from image information photographing the front of a car. A judgment configuration unit (270) judges existence of pedestrian in the front of a car based on the entire body and the entire face of the detected pedestrian and a current driving speed of the car, and configures a brightness value of the headlight with a tail lamp if a pedestrian exists. PURPOSE: A security control device, an orbit security device a control robot, a security control service system and method are provided to freely transfer a control robot device to a wide region regardless of road conditions of a driving path. CONSTITUTION: A control command input unit(120) is input a control command in regard to a security target place. A security data transmitting and receiving unit(130) transmits and receives the control command or security data for security control through the communication with an orbit protective device. The orbit protective device obtains the neighboring security data while traveling along an orbit installed at the security target place. A security data storing unit(140) stores the security data. A security data analysis module(150) analyzes the security data and determines abnormal situations of the security target place. PURPOSE: A method for extracting text area and an extraction apparatus are provided to accurately extract character area from an image with low resolution and noise.
