Abstract: PURPOSE: A fuel cell stack is provided to maintain constant coupling force by coupling plates actively reacting to the expansion and contraction of an electricity-generating assembly according to the temperature change of the electricity-generating assembly. CONSTITUTION: A fuel cell stack comprises: an electricity-generating assembly(10) consisting of a plurality of unit cells continuously laminated; an end plate(30) arranged to be adhered to the outermost side of the electricity-generating assembly respectively; and a coupling plate(50) coupled to the end plate, and covering the top and the bottom of the electricity-generating assembly. The coupling plate comprises at least one coolant passage(71) capable of circulating coolant passed through the electricity-generating assembly. The coupling plate consists of metallic material capable of being expanded and contracted by heat.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A water drain device is provided to easily exhaust inputted moisture and condensed water generated between a separator of a fuel cell stack, and an insulation plate, and to prevent corrosion of the separator. CONSTITUTION: A water drain device of an insulation plate comprises hydrophilic material(24) on inner surface of an insulation plate(20) attached to the top and the bottom side of a fuel cell stack. On outer surface of the insulation plate, hydrophobic material(26) is coated in order to absorb moisture generated between the inner surface of the insulation plate and the separator hydrophilic material, and to exhaust the moisture to outside through an insulation layer(22) of the insulation plate through the hydrophobic material.
