    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A cyclic nitrogen-containing perfluoroalkyl bromide expressed by formula I (X is O or methylene; (m) is 0 or 1; (n) is 2 or 3). EXAMPLE:Perfluoro(1-pyrrolidino-2-bromoethane). USE:Useful as a raw material for fluorine-containing products, such as surfactants, agricultural chemicals or medicaments, or a new material, such as fluorocarbon- based fire extinguisher or X-ray contrast medium. PREPARATION:A nitrogen-containing perfluorocarboxylic acid fluoride expressed by formula II (R f and R f each are same or different 1 to 5C perfluoroalkyl and both may directly link, through O or N or, together with N to which both are bonded, form a heterocyclic ring; (n) is 1 to 3) is reacted with lithium bromide at 250 to 500 deg.C temperature to afford a novel compound expressed by formula III.

    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1, R2 are 1-5C perfluoroalkyl, or they bind to each other directly or through O or N atoms to form a N- containing 5-7-membered ring). EXAMPLE:Perfluoro[3-(N,N-dimethylamino)-n-butyryl fluoride]. USE:A synthetic intermediate of fluorine-compound products such as surface active agents, agrochemicals, or medicines or monomers for fluorine-containing polymers. PREPARATION:A reactive derivative such as an acid halide of 3-dialkylamino-n- butyric acid of formula II (R1', R2' are 1-5C alkyl, they may bind to each other directly or through O or N atom an N-containing heterocycle) is electrolyzed in liquid hydrogen fluoride to give the compound of formula I. In the reaction, the concentration of the compound of formula II is usually 1-80wt.% and the current density is usually 0.01-10A/dm .

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture using a raw material that can be easily obtained by using gaseous trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether in gas form at a room temperature as a gaseous fire extinguishing chemical substitute for a gaseous carbon halide fire extinguishing chemical, the use of which is regulated because it depletes the ozone layer. SOLUTION: To make an alternative gaseous fire extinguishing chemical having the capability comparable to the fire extinguishing capability of carbon halides under regulations, a gas whose main component is trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether expressed by the formula CF3O-R is used. In the formula, R is CHFCF3 or CF=CF2. As a fire extinguishing chemical made from the trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether has hydrogen atoms or a double bond on an α-carbon in the molecule, the atmospheric life is far shorter than perfluoro compounds and as it does not contain bromine atoms that may cause the depletion of the ozone layer, it is suitable as a substitute fire extinguishing chemical substituting for regulated carbon halides.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound useful for uses such as foaming agent, detergents, cleansers, etc., as a substitution compound for chlorofluorocarbons. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I [X is CF2 , etc.; Y is F, etc.; R is a fluorine-containing >=2C alkyl; (n) is 0-2]. For example, N-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) octafluoromorpholine.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fluorine-containing ether in high yield by reacting an alkoxide with a specified alkylation reagent in an aprotic solvent. SOLUTION: A perfluoro-t-butylalkoxide of the formula (CF3 )3 C-OM (M is an alkali), [e.g. (CF3 )3 C-ONa] is reacted with an alkylating agent having a lower alkyl group (e.g. dialkyl sulfate) in an aprotic organic solvent (e.g. a dialkyl ether of polyethylene glycol) to provide the objective compound of the formula (CF3 )3 C-OR (R is a lower alkyl). The reaction is preferably carried out at 0-150 deg.C and the using amount of the alkylation agent is preferably 1-4mol per mol of (CF3 )3 C-OM. The compound of the fluoirne-containng ether of the formula (CF3 )3 C-OR in which R is ethyl or n-propyl is a new one.

SOLUTION: This method for producing an asymmetric primary amine containing fluorine is constituted by dissolving a carbonyl compound containing fluorine and expressed by formula I (Rf of a 1-16C perfluorollakyl; R is a 1-16 alkyl or an aralkyl) preferably in an aromatic hydrocarbon-based solvent such as benzene, toluene and xylene, adding (R)- or (S)-1-phenylethylamine, reforming a dehydration condensation reaction at a room temperature of at a reflex temperature to form a Schiff-base, performing a [1,3] proton shift reaction by adding an organic base such as triethylemine at a temperature not developing a recemization reaction (preferably at a room temperature to approximately 60 deg.C), and performing an asymmetric transamination reaction like by an enzyme, by hydrolyzing the obtained tautiomeric imine by using preferably 2-4N HC1 under a condition not developing the racemization to produce an objective compound expressed by formula II.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject contrast medium containing a specific brominated perfluorocarbon as an active ingredient, excellent in X-ray shielding properties, having a low accumulating property in the living body, no toxicity and an excellent living body adaptability. CONSTITUTION: This X-ray contrast medium contains a brominated perfluorocarbon of formula I [R , R are each a 2-5C perfluoroalkyl or a ring structure formed by linking the part of formula II in one unit; A is -(CF2 )n - (n is 1-5)], or formula III (R , R are each F or a 1-3C perfluoroalkyl; R is F, Br) as an active ingredient. The object contrast medium is e. g. in the case of imaging an artery or a vein in extremities, injected percutaneously into the artery or the vein. In the case of imaging vena cava or branching arteries in chest or abdominal parts, it is injected e.g. through a percutaneous arterial catheter. In the case of imaging blood vessels in heart or lung, it is injected e. g. through an intracardiac catheter. For the imaging liver, spleen or tumor, it is preferable to inject it intravenously.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a new compound useful as an intermediate for synthesis of a surfactant, a dye, an agrochemical or a medicine. CONSTITUTION:This new compound is expressed by formula I or II (R is R are each a 1 to 5C perfluoroalkyl or bonded through O or N to form a five- to seven-membered heter6cycle), e.g. perfluoro[1,3-bis(pyrrolidino)2-butene]. This compound of formula I is produced by conducting oligomerization reaction of a perfluorovinylamine of formula III in the presence of a fluoride ion catalyst in a polar solvent (e.g. DMF) at 0 to 200 deg.C. The compound of formula II is produced by isomerizing the compound of formula I in the presence of a fluoride ion in a polar solvent. Heat resistance, chemical resistance, light resistance and low surface characteristics which are the properties essential to the perfluoroalkyl group can be utilized. These compounds are directly fluorized and the resultant saturated compounds are useful as a substitute CFC, a fluorosolvent or a heating medium in the fields of cooling medium, foaming agent, detergent, etc. Further, these compounds can be emulsified and the resultant emulsion is useful also as a medical agent, e.g. a contrast medium for F-NMR.
