    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain the titled molded article composed of a highly crystalline polymer having a network structure containing two-dimensional covalent bond, by carrying out solid-phase polymerization of the diacetylene part of a diacetylene nylon chloride and subjecting the chloride to thermal polycondensation in a mold. CONSTITUTION:The diacetylene part of a diacetylene nylon chloride of formula I [R1 and R2 are (substituted) (cyclo)alkylene or arylene] is subjected to solid- phase polymerization. The objective molded article can be produced by the thermal polycondensation of the polymerized chloride in a mold under a pressure of 0.5X10 -15X10 atm. at 100-400 deg.C. The chloride of formula I is preferably produced usually by mixing diacetylenecarboxylic acid of formula II with equimolar amount of diamine of formula III. The solid-phase polymerization of the diacetylene part is carried out, e.g., by sealing the chloride of formula I in vacuum and irradiating with gamma-ray of cobalt 60.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance useful as medicine, bioactive substance or asymmetric synthetic intermediate in high yield by including sulfides in cyclodextrin and bringing into contact with oxidizer in dispersion. CONSTITUTION:Sulfides expressed by the formula R SR (R and R are alkyl, aryl, allyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or aralkyl, etc., may be substituted) are included in cyclodextrin (all of alpha, beta and gamma may be used) by kneading method or solution method and resultant clathrate compound is dispersed in organic solvent or water, etc., with screening light, then oxidizer is added, thus reacted at from -20 to 50 deg.C for 2-150 hour to afford the subject substance. In the above- mentioned method, purification is easy and cost is low as using cyclic oligosaccharide stable and repeatedly usable without toxicity in a lower cost than conventional optically active catalyst, and further optical purity of generated substance is high.

    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A recombinant plasmid pGRFM44-6 stably replicated in Esherichia coli, capable of giving trimethoprim resistance and amplicillin resistance to the Escherichia coli as a host and coding the fused protein of a bovine growth hormone-releasing factor derivative having an amino acid sequence of the formula with a dihydrofolic acid reductase. USE:For the production of a bovine growth hormone-releasing factor (GRS) and a dihydrofolic acid reductase(DHFR). PREPARATION:For example, a recombinant plasmid pSG1-12 coding DHFR and the sequence of Np.1-29 amino acids of bovine GRF is treated with a restriction enzyme. The produced DNA fragment is combined with a synthetic DNA coding the sequence of No.29-44 amino acids of the GRF and subsequently inserted into an Escherichia coli, followed by culturing the Esherichia coli and screening the cultured colony thereof the select a clone producing DHFR-GRF, thereby providing the pGRFM44-6.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable direct measurement of changes with time at a high accuracy in mixing, dilution and reaction by employing a series/linear detector or detectors as calorific value detectors to insert a heat insulating plate in the course thereof. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene tube having a manganin wire 4 wound in a coil as electric resistance wire on detectors (e.g. thermomodule) 1 arranged in a series and linearly is used for a sample path tube 3 and arranged zigzag. The detectors are divided by three, for instance, and are isolated from one another with a poorly heat conducting teflon plate 5 together with metallic heat sinks 2 supporting them. The detectors 1 are screwed down 6 on a semi- cylindrical thermostat heat sink 7 and a thermostat 7 is laid thereon utilizing a screw hole 8 to form a detection unit. Two kinds of fluids to be measured enter at an inlet 9 of the tube 3, mixed to react and then, discharged 10. Thus, groups of three detectors work independently as calorific value detection unit thereby enabling a wide ranging measurement of changes with time with a varying of a flow velocity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance, yellowing and browing resistance, wrinkle resistance, etc., of silk yarn product, by dissolving an epoxy compound and a reaction catalyst in a mixed solution of a polar approtic solvent and water to give a composition, impregnating the composition into a silk yarn product and subjecting the yarn to wet heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy compound such as a compound having two or more epoxy groups and =100 deg.C boiling point, such as dimethyl sulfoxide and water in the weight ratio of 95:5-51:49 to prepare a composition, which is impregnated into a silk yarn product, pressed and then the silk yarn product is subjected to wet heat treatment in high-temperature steam at >=100 deg.C to readily improve functions such as wear resistance, yellowing and browning resistance, wetting resistance, wrinkle resistance and washing resistance while maintaining characteristic properties of silk yarn.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound which is a synthetic intermediate for neurontransmitters, antitumor substances, etc., in high optical purity, by bringing a specific carbonyl compound into contact with a reducing agent complex prepared by including a reducing agent in cyclodextrin using a readily available and inexpensive raw material. CONSTITUTION:A reducing agent complex prepared by including a reducing agent in cyclodextrin in a powdery form is directly dispersed in a supersaturated aqueous solution of various inorganic salts or organic solvent by cutting off light and a carbonyl compound having an optional organic residue without interfering reductive reaction is added and reacted therewith at -60-90 deg.C, preferably -20-50 deg.C for 5-100hr to afford the aimed compound. Furthermore, the reducing agent used is preferably a Lewis base complex of borane. The clathrate compound of the reducing agent is obtained by, e.g., adding water (in an amount of about 0.1-6 times based on the cyclodextrin) to the cyclodextrin and kneading the resultant pasty mixture with a reducing agent compound to be included.
