Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a concentrate enriched in iron mineral content from an ore, which contains an iron mineral and silicate, by reverse flotation, which method comprises the step of (c) adding a compound of formula I wherein R 1 is C 9 -C 22 alkyl or alkenyl, which is linear or branched, R 2 is H, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, which is linear or branched, R 3 is -X-NH 2 , H or C 1 -C 4 alkyl, which is linear or branched, and X is C 2 -C 4 alkylene, which is linear or branched, or a salt of a protonated compound of formula I and an anion, to a prepared aqueous pulp of the ore and optionally one or more flotation auxiliaries to obtain an aqueous mixture. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing a specific group of compounds of formula I, i.e. compounds of formula l-X wherein R 1 is C 9 -C 15 alkyl, which is linear or branched, R 2 is H, R 3 is -X-NH 2 and X is C 2 -C 4 alkylene, which is linear or branched, is disclosed.

Abstract: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Stabilisierung von zumindest monoalkylsubstituierten Diaminocyclohexanen, welches die Schritte a) bis c) sowie gegebenenfalls d) umfasst. In Verfahrensschritt a) wird eine Zusammensetzung (ZE) in eine Destillationsvorrichtung eingespeist, wobei die Zusammensetzung (ZE) mindestens ein zumindest monoalkylsubstituiertes Diaminocyclohexan (A), gegebenenfalls Wasser (B) und 0,001 bis 5 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung (ZE), mindestens einer Verbindung (C) enthält, welche einen höheren Siedepunkt aufweist als das mindestens eine zumindest monoalkylsubstituierte Diaminocyclohexan (A). Anschließend wird die Zusammensetzung (ZE) in Schritt b) in der Destillationsvorrichtung destilliert. In Schritt c) wird eine destillierte Zusammensetzung (DZE) aus der Destillationsvorrichtung abgetrennt, wobei die destillierte Zusammensetzung (DZE) das mindestens eine zumindest monoalkylsubstituierte Diaminocyclohexan (A) und gegebenenfalls Wasser (B) enthält. Die Verbindung (C) kann gegebenenfalls in einem weiteren Schritt d) aus dem Sumpf der Destillationsvorrichtung abgetrennt werden.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing N,N-substituted 1,3-propanediamine by a) reacting secondary amine with acrolein at a temperature of from (-50) to 100° C. and a pressure of from 0.01 to 300 bar, and b) reacting the reaction mixture obtained in stage a) with hydrogen and ammonia in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst at a temperature of from 40 to 400° C. and a pressure of from 1 to 400 bar, wherein the molar ratio of secondary amine to acrolein in stage a) is 2:1 or more and the hydrogenation catalyst used in stage b) comprises cobalt. In a preferred embodiment, acrolein which has been obtained from glycerol based on renewable raw materials is used. The invention further relates to the use of N,N-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine (DMAPA) based on renewable raw materials as a feedstock for lubricant soaps and other detergents, coagulants, polymers and comb polymers. In a further preferred embodiment, stage b) is performed in the presence of water.
