    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent current from entering from a tire to a rim by in a new transportation vehicle to which power is supplied from a travelling road by forming a top tread and a side tread of the tire of rubber whose electric resistance is above specific value. CONSTITUTION:A tire 10 used for a new transportation vehicle such as a monorail has a top tread 15 disposed in a radially outermost side portion. A rubber layer 20 is disposed at the top tread side 15 of a carcass 18 at an outermost side portion. Both end portions in the direction of width of the tire of the rubber layer 20 respectively reach side treads 22 provided at tire side portions. In the above mentioned construction, the top tread 15 and the side tread 22 are respectively formed of the same and specific rubber material. This rubber material is formed by blending 30% of carbon having average particle side of 23mum relative to weight of rubber and setting electric resistance to above 160KOMEGA, for example, 100MOMEGA.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make rigidity in the vicinity of open sipes on the end parts of ribs uniform and prevent lopsided abrasion by restricting the amplitude of the zigzag form of a main groove and its groove pitch with respect to the pitch of open sipes which cross a tread having plural ribs. CONSTITUTION:A tire has a tread 15 having plural wide main grooves 12 which extend zigzag in the peripheral direction and plural ribs 13 partitioned by the main grooves 12. And, open sipes 16 are cut across the tread 15 between both tread ends 15a. In this case, the sipe pitch Ps of the open sipes 16 with respect to the peripheral direction C of tire is set at 10-40 mm. Also, the amplitude V12 of the zigzag form of the main groove 12 with respect to the width of tire is set at 1-10 mm. And, the ratio of the groove pitch PG with respect to the peripheral direction C of tire of the main groove 12 to the sipe pitch Ps of the open sipes 16 is set within the range of 1.5-20.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of deviated wear by a method wherein, in a flat tyre for a vehicle, a plurality of ribs are formed by a plurality of wide main grooves, and a number of shallow cuts, cut down in short of the main groove, are formed at equal distances in a rib next to the outermost rib in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Five ribs 25 are formed in a wide main groove 24 in a meandering shape in a tread 22. A width W24 of the main groove 24 is set to approximate 2-10% of a tread width W22. A number of shallow cuts 27 are formed at equal intervals in a rib 25B, being next to an outermost rib in the axial direction of a tyre, and in a central part 25a in an axial direction of the rib 25B away from the main groove 24. In the shallow cut 27, a projection length W27 in the axial direction of a tyre is set to 10-70% of a rib width W25B, a depth to 30-100% of the depth of the outermost main groove 24A, an angle with an axial direction to approximate 15 deg., and a circumferential interval to 3-20mm. This constitution enables prevention of the occurrence of deviated wear.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable durability of a tyre to be compatible with cornering power characteristics thereof, by a method wherein a belt, substantially surrounding a carcass throughout the total width of a tread part, is formed through combination of a main and an auxiliary belt layer, aligned at their respective specified cord angles with the quator of a tyre. CONSTITUTION:A case body, formed with a tread part T, side wall parts S, and bead part, is reinforced by a radial cord-aligned carcass C and a belt B formed with a cord layer in at least 2 layers substantially surrounding the carcass C throughout the total width of the tread part T. Flatness is set to 0.9 or less. In the radial tyre, the belt B is formed through combination of a main belt layer B1 in at least one layer spirally aligned at a cord angle of approxialmately 0 deg. with the quator of the tyre and an auxiliary belt layer B2 in a single layer inclinably aligned at a cord angle of 20-40 deg. with the quator radially internally of the tyre of the main belt layer B1.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire to manufacture the tire capable of preventing growth of a crack to be generated at a bottom of a main groove. SOLUTION: In an unvulcanized tread member 10 to become a tread after vulcanization molding, a part of base tread rubber member 14 opposed to protrusions 20 for forming main grooves of a mold 16 is formed thinner than at least opposed parts between the protrusions 20 of the mold 16. When a green tire 1 using the member 10 is vulcanization molded by the mold 16, a thickness of a cap tread rubber member 12 at a bottom of the main groove of the tire becomes 1 mm or more. Since the member 12 contains more absolute amount of age resistor near the bottom of the groove than that at less tan 1 mm of the thickness of the bottom of the groove, even when the resistor of the part is transferred to a side of the member 14, ozone crack preventing effect can be maintained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which is capable of being used in all seasons successively. SOLUTION: A tread 22 is made of a cap base structure, a cap part is formed out of a foamed rubber whose foamed ratio is in a range of 15-23%, and its thickness is made within a range of 30-70% of the groove depth of a main groove 18. A base rubber 16 is a foamed rubber whose foaming ratio is 5% or less or non-foamed rubber. Sipes 22 which extend in the crossing direction to the circumferential direction of a tire are formed at tread land part 12A-D and are located where the bottom part is within a range of 0.5-3.0mm to a base side 16 from a boundary surface of the cap part 14 and the base part 16. It is thus possible to attain high characteristics on an icy road surface by an edge effect through babbles appearing on a grounding surface, water absorbing action in the grounding surface, and the edge effect of the sipe.

The ply end rubber 30 consists of the same kind of rubber as the respective ply coating rubber of the first ply 14, the second ply 16, and the second ply 18, for example, rubber with JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) hardness of 50-75, and resilience off more than 50. Besides, the thickness M1 of the ply end rubber 30 is set at 0.5-1.5 times of the thickness M2 of the outer side end part 14A in the diametrical direction of the first ply 14, and the width W in the diametrical direction of the ply end rubber 30 is set at 2-15 times of the thickness M2 of the outer side end part 14A in the diametrical direction of the first ply 14.
