Abstract: Sodium percarbonate of the formula 2 Na2CO3 3 H2O2 can be produced by fluidised-bed spray granulation by spraying an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate and a hydrogen peroxide solution on sodium percarbonate seeds and evaporating water. The previously necessary use of phosphorus-containing crystallisation inhibitor to prevent blockages and incrustations in and on the nozzle can be avoided by the invention if the solutions are sprayed using a single three-substance pulverisation nozzle with the external mixing of the solutions.

Abstract: In the prior art, sodium percarbonate is coated with compounds which produce a stabilizing action in order to increase the shelf life. There is a need for an improved, boron-free, coating for sodium percarbonate. Proposed by the invention is a particle coating containing sodium carbonate plus one or more optionally partly hydrated magnesium compounds, preferably magnesium sulphate, in a single coat or in separate coats. The coating preferably contains two coats. The particles are produced by spraying aqueous solutions containing the coating compounds on to sodium percarbonate in a fluidized bed and at the same time evaporating off the water. Their long shelf life makes particles coated in this way suitable for use in washing, bleaching and cleaning agents.

Sodium percarbonate particles coated in accordance with the invention have a coating containing reaction products from the reaction of a dialkali metal tetraborate or alkali metal pentaborate with aqueous hydrogen peroxide. Preferred coating components are: perborax with the formula Na2B4O7xH2O2, where n =2 or 4. The coated sodium percarbonate particles are produced by coating the percarbonate particles using a solution containing the reaction products mentioned above. Detergent, bleaching and cleaning compositions containing sodium percarbonate particles coated in accordance with the invention are distinguished by very high stability in storage.

Abstract: The invention relates to an improved process for producing sodium perborate monohydrate by dehydration of sodium perborate tetrahydrate in a fluidised bed by heated air. According to the invention, contact surfaces are arranged within the fluidised bed, the total area of which contact surfaces constitutes 1 - 500 times the area of the gas distribution plate of the fluidised bed. The contact surfaces are expediently designed as heat exchangers, the surface temperature of which is adjusted to 90 to 110@C. The process leads to a sodium perborate monohydrate having particularly high resistance to abrasion; at the same time the energy requirement is lower than in known processes.

Abstract: Se presenta un procedimiento para la fabricacion de un suplemento de alimento para animales a base de caldo de fermentacion, en el que el suplemento contiene un producto de fermentacion y contiene completamente o sustancialmente, otros contenidos del caldo de fermentacion, caracterizado por el hecho de que el caldo de fermentacion es granulado, compactado y secado en un paso en un lecho fluidizado mientras se suministra por medio mecánico en el lecho fluidizado, una cantidad de energía suficiente para el ajuste de un diámetro deseado de grano y para una densidad deseada de polvo apilado, adicionalmente a la energía requerida para la produccion del lecho fluidizado. Mediante lo cual se logra entre otras cosas, fabricar continuamente, en un unico paso de procedimiento, granulados de aditivos segun la especificacion como lisinas, tionina o triptofano, mediante el uso particular de caldos brutos de fermentacion como material de partida.
