Abstract: Disclosed is a two-pack type hair dye product which is composed of a first preparation containing an alkali agent, a second preparation containing hydrogen peroxide, and a non-aerosol foamer container for discharging the liquid mixture of the first preparation and the second preparation in the form of a foam. The liquid mixture contains the following components (A) and (B). (A) a polymer or copolymer which has a mole fraction of diallyldimethyl quaternary ammonium salt monomer of not less than 70% (B) an N-acylamino acid salt, an N-acyl-N-alkylamino acid salt or an ether carboxylic acid salt The equivalent ratio of the anion site of the component (B) to the cation site of the component (A) (anion/cation) is more than 1, and the liquid mixture has a viscosity at 25˚C of 1-300 mPa·s.

Abstract: The invention provides a bleach composition or a dye composition for hair which, during use, includes a mixture of a first composition containing an alkali agent and a second composition containing an oxidizing agent, the bleach or dye composition containing (A) an organic solvent having a partition coefficient (octanol-water) (log P) at 25°C of 0.3-6 and a molecular weight of 200 or less, in an amount of 1-70 wt.%; (B) an organic solvent having a log P of less than 0.3, in an amount of 0-8 wt.% and less than that of component (A); (C) an alkali agent in an amount of 0.1-10 wt.%; (D) an oxidizing agent in an amount of 0.1-12 wt.% as reduced to H 2 O 2 ; (E) water in an amount of 20-70 wt.%, and (F) a cationic surfactant in an amount of 0.01-10 wt.%, and has a pH of 7.5-12 after mixing of the first composition and the second composition. The bleach or dye composition provides less offensive odor; exhibit excellent hair-bleaching power and hair-dyeing power; and exhibit excellent hair-conditioning effect during and after treatment.

Abstract: A cationic group-containing copolymer is provided which possesses excellent thixotropy and exhibits high adsorbability to the skin, hair, etc. and, when incorporated as a thickener in cosmetic articles, manifests a very satisfactory tactile sensation. The cationic group-containing copolymer is characterized in that the viscosity at 25 DEG C of the aqueous solution prepared by incorporating the copolymer in deionized water at a concentration of 0.5 wt. % is in the range of 0.3 - 20 Pa.sec. at a shear rate of 1 sec and in the range of 0.01 - 5 Pa.sec. at a shear rate of 10 sec and the viscosity at a shear rate of 1 sec is higher than the viscosity at a shear rate of 10 sec . This cationic group-containing copolymer is obtained by particularly using a cationic group-containing vinyl monomer, a hydrophilic nonionic group-containing vinyl monomer such as N,N-dimethyl (meth)acrylamide or N,N-diethyl (meth)acrylamide, and a cross-linking vinyl monomer containing at least two vinyl groups in the molecular unit thereof as essential component monomers and radically polymerizing the essential component monomers. A thickener made of the copolymer is also disclosed.
