    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition effective in decreasing calcium content in hair, preventing the reprecipitation of calcium and improving the softness of hair after drying, by using an anionic or ampholytic surfactant and a peptide having a specific molecular weight in combination with a specific chelating agent at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition effective in imparting rinsing effect to hair damaged by permanent wave treatment, etc., decreasing Ca content of hair, preventing reprecipitation of Ca originating from tap water and exhibiting excellent conditioning effect to improve the softness of hair after drying can be produced by using (A) an anionic or ampholytic surfactant, (B) a chelating agent having a chelation value of >=230mg CaCO3/g-chelating agent (Ca ion blocking capability of 1g of the chelating agent in terms of mg of CaCO3) and (C) a peptide having an average molecular weight of 400-10,000 or its derivative as essential components. The amounts of the components A, B and C are 5-30wt.%, 0.6-6wt.% and 0.1-5wt.%, respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a shampoo composition to provide damaged hair with excellent rinsing effects and conditioning effects, by blending an anionic or ampholytic surface active agent with a chelating agent and a quaternary nitrogen-containing cationic polymer. CONSTITUTION:A shampoo composition containing (A) 5-30wt% anionic or ampholytic surface active agent, preferably alkyl ether sulfate, olefin sulfonate or ampholytic surface active agent of secondary amide type imidazoline, (B) 0.6-6wt% chelating agent having >=230mg CaCO3/g chelating value, such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, citric acid or 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid and (C) 0.1-5wt% quaternary nitrogen-containing cationic polymer such as cationic cellulose or quaternized polyvinyl pyrrolidone. The preferable blending amounts of the components are 10-25wt% component A, 0.8-2wt% component B and 0.5-2wt% component C.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A liquid shampoo composition that is prepared by previously treating menthol with methylated cyclodextrin, adding the product to a shampoo composition, further preferably adding urea thereto, thus giving satisfactor coolness, when used, with its specific odor inhibited. CONSTITUTION:Menthol is previously treated with methylated cyclodextrin of the formula (n is 6-9, at least one among 3n A groups is methyl and the remainings are H) (preferably 0.05-5wt% of menthol and the amount of the cyclodextrin is 1/2-20pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the menthol). The product is combined with at least one of surfactants such as polyoxyethylene lauryl ether sulfate sodium salt in an amount of 5-30wt%) to give the objective shampoo composition. Further, addition of urea (3-20wt%) intensifies cool feeling of the shampoo. EFFECT:Any perfume can be freely selected and fresh coolness is given.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A liquid shampoo composition, containing menthol and cationic cyclodextrin together in the presence of a large amount of a surfactant, capable of reducing peculiar smell of menthol without inhibiting the refreshing feeling thereof and having improved low-temperature stability. CONSTITUTION:A liquid shampoo composition, obtained by incorporating (A) 5-30wt%, preferably 10-20wt% one or more surfactants with (B) 0.05-5wt%, preferably 0.1-2wt% menthol and (C) a cationic cyclodextrin expressed by formula I (n is a number 6-9; at least one of n pieces of A is formula II and the rest are H) in an amount of 1/2-20 times, preferably 1-10 times based on the component (B) as essential components and, as necessary, adding (D) urea as a refreshing feeling enhancer thereto and capable of reducing peculiar smell of the menthol by the formation of a clathrate compound, giving a sufficient refreshing feeling on dilution with water in hair washing and rinsing and improving the low-temperature stability of the clathrate compound also at the same time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic composition having excellent aging stability in storage and giving excellent feeling by using a specific modified polysiloxane and a propellent as active components. CONSTITUTION:The composition contains (A) 0.01-20wt.% of a polysiloxane containing the groups of the formula (R R SiO)l and the formula (R R SiO)m (R and R are 1-4C alkyl; R is 1-40C alkyl, alkenyl or fluoroalkyl; R is 7-40C alkyl, alkenyl or fluoroalkyl; (1) is >=2; (m) is >=3; 1+m is 5-6,000) and (B) 1-50wt.% of a propellent (e.g. liquefied petroleum gas). The composition may be properly compounded with additional components such as humectant, drug- active agent, ultraviolet absorber, preservative, antioxidant, polymer, pigment, dispersing agent, colorant, perfumery, lower alcohol and surfactant and formed in the form of hair-treatment, hair mist, hair mousse, hair cream, etc. The composition gives excellent feeling (gloss, slipperiness, non-tackiness, etc.) to the hair.
