    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a total efficiency of a freezing cycle and to reduce power consumption of a cooling device by drastically improving the energy efficiency of a coolant compressor, concerning the cooling device such as a refrigerator. SOLUTION: This starting device of an induction synchronous motor comprises a coolant compressor compressing coolant, a condenser condensing the coolant, a dryer drying the coolant, an expanding structure expanding the coolant, and an evaporator evaporating the coolant. The starting device of the induction synchronous motor driving the coolant compressor uses a heat- sensitive element having a resistance value suddenly changing at a specified temperature when a temperature coefficient of electric resistance is positive.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce coolant gas volume leaking from a clearance in a cylinder bore by loosely-fitting a tetrafluoroethylene resin piston ring into a groove which is provided at the outer periphery of a piston freely. CONSTITUTION:A piston 20 which is made of aluminum material and reciprocates inside a cylinder bore 17a with the rotation of a crank shaft 8 through a connecting rod 9 is provided with a groove 20a equipped with two pairs of piston rings 21 made of material whose main element is tetrafluoroethylene resin on its outer periphery. The piston ring 21 is guided to the groove 20a in a clearance between the piston 20 and the cylinder bore 17a so that the piston 20 may not be brought into contact with the cylinder bore 17a during moving. Moreover, a diametrical clearance between the piston and the cylinder bore is set at 1/100-1/300 time as wide as the diameter of the piston. Therefore, it is possible to obtain stable cooling performance even when leaking loss increases due to pressure ratio increase at the time of replacing coolant CFC12, which is generally used, with HFC134a.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively restrain flow change of compressed refrigerant gas by introducing discharge gas from a compression element stored in a closed container fixed with a discharge pipe to the discharge pipe by a discharge line, and by providing a restricted part on the discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION:A compression mechanism 1 stored in a closed container 2 compresses refrigerant gas by reciprocal motion of a piston 6 in a cylinder 5 by a crank shaft 8 rotated by an electric motor 3 and discharges it through a discharge muffler, a discharge line 13 and a discharge pipe 14 fastened on the closed container 2 outside. In this case, inside diameter set smaller than the inside diameter of the discharge line 13 is set by providing a restricted part 14a on a part outside of the closed container 2 in the circumferential direction of the discharge pipe 14. Consequently, change of flow (pulsation) of compressed gas can be damped without preventing enlargement of the size of a compressor and its startability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the pulsation of discharge flow so as to obtain a silent two-cylider rotary compressor by uniting the discharge flow from a first compression chamber and that from a second compression chamber in a muffler with approximately half cycle phase delay. CONSTITUTION:A crankshaft 22 is provided with a first and a second eccentric shafts 23, 24, and a first cylinder 31 forms a first compression chamber 29 together with a rotor side housing 27 and a first middle plate 28. The first middle plate 28 is provided with a first discharge opening 31 for the passing of discharge flow from the first compression chamber 29 as well as with a first communicating hole 33for leading discharge flow to a muffler 32. A second cylinder 40 forms a second compression chamber 37 together with a second middle plate 34 and a non-rotor side housing 36, and is provided with a second communicating hole 35 for communicating the first communicating hole 33 with a release hole 39. The eccentric direction phase difference of the first and second eccentric shafts 23, 24 of the crankshaft 22 is determined in such a way that the discharge flow from the first compression chamber 29 and that from the second compression chamber 37 are united in the muffler 32, being dislocated by approximately half phase in relation to the rotational cycle of the crankshaft 22.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the operability of a motor protector for a compressor by holding the protector by fittings provided at a position near the sealed terminal of the inner wall of a sealed vessel to simplify the mounting structure of the protector. CONSTITUTION:In a sealed compressor, a motor protector 4 is held by fittings 13 secured to a sealed vessel 3, and the fittings 13 are provided near a sealed terminal 6 secured to the vessel 3. A motor-driven compressor 1 is set in the vessel 3 at the time of incorporating the compressor, the protector 4 is secured to the fittings 13 secured to the vessel 3, and leads 11 are connected at one end to a pin terminal 10 and at the other to lead wires 8. The other two wires 8 are connected through a pin insertion terminal 12 to the other two terminals 10 respectively. Thus, the protector 4 can be so held to the metal fittings 13 of the vessel 3 so that its long axis becomes substantially parallel to the vessel 3, thereby facilitating the attachment and the detachment of the protector and simplifying the operation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily mount a motor protector and improve the reliability of the operation of a closed type compressor by a sticking and holding a motor protector to the internal fixture of a closed terminal which is stuck to the closed housing of the compressor. CONSTITUTION:A motor protector 4 which is equipped for a closed type compressor acts as a sensor which operates on both electric current and temperature to protect a motor 2 used as the driving source of a motored compressor 1 housed in a closed housing 3 from heat. In this case, the motor protector 4 which consists of a glass case is held by an approximately U-shaped fixture 13 attached to a closed terminal 6 which is stuck to the closed housing 3, and wired between the outlet 8 from the wound wire end 5 of a motor 2 and the pin terminal 10 of the closed terminal 6. One terminal of a lead wire 11 drawn from the protector 4 is connected to the pin terminal 10 and the opposing terminal is connected to the outlet wire 8. The fixture 13 is mounted in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the protector 4 is approximately at right angles with the pin terminal 10.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase heat dissipation effect by forming a plurality of penetration holes in a radial direction on an end ring constituting an electric motor rotor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of radial penetration holes 17 is radially formed on the end ring 16 of a rotor 3. Due to the turning motion of the rotor 3, coolant gases are compressed and an induced current runs through the secondary conductor 3b of the rotor 3 and the end ring 16, thereby causing heating because of an ohm loss. In this case, the temperature rise of the rotor 3 is countered by large heat dissipation effect due to the passage of coolant gases and refrigerator oil through the penetration holes 17 of the end ring 16, thereby restricting said temperature rise to a low level.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a special balance weight unnecessary to be added by providing a hole for off setting unbalance weight of a compression mechanism as well as other holes for storing a crank shaft and a secondary conductor in a rotor of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A hole 3c provided in the rotor 3 of a motor 1 is arranged on the opposite point in order to off set unbalance weight caused by reciprocal motion and rotation of a compression mechanism 7. Also, secondary conductors 3b are provided through the iron core 3a of the rotor 3 with both ends respectively connected to end rings 3e, 3f. The compression mechanism 7 produces self-excited vibration, which depends on the unbalance weight according to reciprocal motion and rotation, by rotation of the rotor 3 of the motor 1. However, said self-excited vibration is diminished by potential unbalance weight in the rotor 3, so that vibration is sustained at low level.
