    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent foodstuffs in a refrigerator from rotting by a method wherein the refrigerator is so constituted that time is counted after power is supplied to a defrosting heater and an alarm is issued to a user in the case where defrosting is not finished even after the lapse of a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:An alarm means A17 and an alarm means B18, both consisting of a buzzer, an LED and the like, are disposed to a door part 16 of the main body 1 of a refrigerator and, when an operation timer 15 counts a predetermined time, a compressor 9 is turned OFF, and a defrosting heater is turned ON. Then, by checking up with a temperature at a defrosting temperature detecting means 11, the defrosting heater 10 is turned OFF if its temperature is high, or the counting by a defrosting timer 20 is allowed to proceed at it is if its temperature is low Then, a value counted by a defrosting timer 20 is read. In the case where the counted value is longer than a preset time, the defrosting heater 10 is turned OFF to read a temperature at a temperature detecting means 8 in a freezing chamber. if this temperature is low, a signal is outputted to the alarm means A17 and, if it is high, a signal is outputted to the alarm means B18. As a result, such serious problems that the refrigerator is put into a non-refrigerating condition due to the failure of the defrosting heater or of the defrosting, temperature detecting means to cause foodstuffs in the refrigerator to rot are alarmed to a user beforehand, so that foodstuffs can be prevented from totting.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a trouble of spillage of water which may occur when an ice making container is put to an ice separating operation by mistake by checking an advance to the subsequent water separating operation when the temperature is not lower than another set temperature as detected by a temperature detecting means as a specified time passes after a set temperature is detected by the temperature detection means. CONSTITUTION:A power failure occurs during the feeding of water or immediately after the end of feeding water. In this case, the operation is started from the first step but when it reaches a step 101 of judging the completion of making ice, a temperature detection means 2 is still chilled at the step 101 and so, temperature is judged to be lower than a set temperature T0. As a result, even with an advance to the step 102, as a waiting is given and hence, a temperature detecting means 2 rises in temperature sufficiently under the influence of water of an ice making container 1 and so, at the step 103, the temperature of the temperature detection means 2 is judged to be higher in comparison with a set temperature T1. Thus, at the step 104, the temperature of the temperature detection means 2 is lowered below the set temperature T1 by another waiting to turn water of the ice making container 1 to ice with a sufficient cooling thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent temperature nonuniformity, and to obviate the freezing of foods by forcibly operating the electric blower of a deodorizing device when a chilled setting switch is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:When a chilled setting switch 54 is turned ON, the chilled-setting switch 54 side input of an OR circuit 62 is brought to 'H', an output from the OR circuit 62 is also brought to 'H', a transistor 63 is turned ON, a relay coil 64 becomes conductive, a relay contact 60 is opened, and an electric blower 29 is operated. When the chilled setting switch 54 is not turned ON, inversely, the output from the OR circuit 62 is brought to 'L', the transistor 63 is turned OFF, and the continuity of the relay coil 64 is interrupted. Consequently, the relay contact 60 can also be opened, and the electric blower 29 is not worked. As a result, when the temperature of a chilled room 10 is brought to a chilled temperature zone by turning the chilled setting switch 54 ON, the electric blower 29 is operated regardless of the closing of a switch 44. Accordingly, temperature nonuniformity in the chilled room is solved, and the freezing of foods can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the production of transparent ice, by a method wherein the starting of ice making operation is put on stand-by state until the operation of a defrosting means is finished and, then, the ice making operation is started after finishing the operation of the defrosting means while the time of a first cooling period is changed by an atmospheric temperature upon finishing the defrosting operation. CONSTITUTION:When an user throws an ice making switch 16 during defrosting, the output of an AND circuit becomes 'L' because it is during defrosting and a timer 42 is not operated, therefore, ice making operation is not started. When the defrosting is advanced and the temperature of a bimetal 18 becomes a defrosting finishing detecting temperature, the conduction of a defrosting heater 17 is intercepted and the defrosting is finished. When an atmospheric temperature is higher than a predetermined value (10 deg.C, for example) at that time, a signal 'H' is outputted from the output (a) of the timer 42 for a period of time (t1H) (40min, for example) whereby a compressor 15 and a fan 5 are operated. After the 'H' signal is outputted from the output (a) of the timer 42 for a time of (t1) (t1H or t1L), the heater 11 is conducted for a time (t2), thereafter, the compressor 15 and the fan 5 are operated for a period (t3) and the ice making operation may be finished.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a supercooling of a third chamber without adding an auxiliary heater by setting the third chamber to a low temperature zone, and energizing a first heater and a second heater for preventing a top plate frosting. CONSTITUTION: A cold air to a third chamber 9 is discharged from a cold air discharge port 29 provided forward of a top plate 22. When the chamber 9 is at the low temperature zone, a blower is energized at the time of stopping. And a first heater 26 to be energized when a quick freezing switch 28 is operated and a second heater 27 continuously energized when the chamber 9 is switched to a freezing temperature zone are adhered to the plate 22. And, when the third chamber is set to a low temperature zone and the freezing switch is operated, it is controlled so that the heater 27 is also energized. Thus, if the third chamber is switched to the low temperature zone and then the freezing switch is still operated, the heater 27 is energized simultaneously with the first heater, and hence supercooling in the third chamber at the time of quick freezing and freezing of the food can be suppressed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the storeroom from being overcooled by the self heating of the power consumed in a blower for circulation, by operating the blower for air circulation in high-speed rotation in the case of quick freezing at low outside air temperature. SOLUTION: When a compressor 5 is being operated with a quick switch 16, the temperature of an outside air temperature sensor 24 is detected with an outside air temperature detecting means 25, and it is judged whether the outside air temperature is higher or lower than the set temperature with an outside air temperature judging means 26. Then, in the case that the outside air temperature is lower than the set temperature, it is set in high-speed rotation with a high-speed rotation so as to rotate a blower 14 for air circulation at high speed, and the blower 14 for air circulation is operated at high speed with a blower control means 27 for air circulation, and the blower for air circulation is operated at high speed with a blower driving means 23 for air circulation. Therefore, this can prevent the temperature within a storeroom 4 from getting in overcooling condition where it is cooled more than necessary, which is caused by the self heating of the power consumed in the blower 14 for air circulation becoming large.
