Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a transmitting device may transmit a reference signal indicating a first service type supported by the transmitting device and a receiving device may receive the reference and determine whether to measure a signal strength associated with the reference signal based on determining whether the first service type supported by the transmitting device and a second service type supported by the receiving device are a same service type. For example, the receiving device may measure the reference signal if the first service type indicated by the reference signal and the second service type supported by the receiving device are the same service type. Alternatively, the receiving device may refrain from measuring the reference signal if the first service type indicated by the reference signal and the second service type supported by the receiving device are different service types.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for transmitting a channel state information (CSI) report from a user equipment (UE). The CSI report may be a UE initiated CSI report or may be based on a downlink grant. The UE may receive a downlink grant scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS). The UE may determine to report a channel state information (CSI) in response to a measurement of a downlink measurement resource or in response to the downlink grant requesting the CSI. The UE may determine a reserved uplink resource on which to report the CSI. The UE may transmit a CSI report on the reserved uplink resource.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable reduced capability UEs to support certain type of services with strict delay but limited throughput, while less parallel hardware or computational resources may be used by the reduced capability UEs. In one aspect, a UE reports multiple UE capabilities to a base station, each capability including a set of one or more processing time parameters for a group of HARQ processes. Then the UE receives downlink communication from the base station based on a number of HARQ processes. Then the UE processes the downlink communication from the base station based on a UE capability corresponding to the number of HARQ processes.

Abstract: Aspects relate to radio link management for a first type of link that is a high reliability, low-latency communication link such as ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC). Radio link failure (RLF) of the link may be determined in a wireless device that then transmits a link recovery request (LRR) communicating the RLF and a request for link recovery to a network in a reserved resource in an uplink channel using a second type of link that does not have as high priority (e.g., not as high reliability or as low-latency) as the first type of link, such as enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB). The wireless device receives a grant of uplink resources from the network responsive to the LRR, where the uplink resources are used by the wireless device to transmit an RLF report to the network and are also of the second type of link.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using an operating bandwidth part (BWP) that includes a first set of frequency resources. The UE may receive a group common downlink control information (GC DCI) message from the base station that includes a resource format indicator (RFI) for the UE (e.g., among multiple RFIs for a set of UEs in the GC DCI) indicating a second set of frequency resources. The UE may modify the operating BWP based on the second set of frequency resources and communicate with the base station using the modified operating BWP. In some examples, the UE may switch the operating BWP to the second set of frequency resources or may reduce the operating BWP to a set of overlapping frequency resources between the first and second sets of frequency resources.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a base station providing a user equipment (UE) with a sticky uplink beam assignment for one or more uplink signals. The UE may use the sticky uplink beam assignment for transmission of uplink signals until a new sticky uplink beam assignment is received. In some examples, the sticky uplink beam assignment may include an uplink beam identifier (ID) identifying an uplink beam associated with the transmission of an uplink signal. The uplink beam identified by the uplink beam ID may be used by the UE for transmission of the uplink signal and either all subsequent uplink signals (e.g., physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and/or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)) or subsequent uplink signals of particular uplink channel types (e.g., dynamic PUSCH, configured grant (CG), PUCCH, etc.) until a new uplink beam ID is received.
