Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition which is excellent in transparency, slipperiness and wear resistance, can be used adequately for magnetic recording media, electrical insulation, general industries, food packaging and the like, and particularly combines various characteristics such as flavoriness, adhesion and impact resistance suitable as a film for food packaging and a metal plate laminating film for metallic cans for beverages and foods. SOLUTION: The polyester composition comprises a polyester resin and an inorganic particle composed primarily of the oxide of an element selected from the III and/or IV group in the periodic table, wherein the content of the inorganic particle is 0.001-10 wt.% based on the polyester resin, the BET specific surface area is 30-1,000 m2/g, and the surface hydroxy group concentration is 5×10-3 mol/g or less.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition which can give a film excellent in slipperiness, abrasion resistance, electrical properties, punching quality, suitability for lamination with a metal, flavor retention, etc. by incorporating a thermoplastic polyester with hydroxyapatite particles having a specified specific surface area and a specified composition. SOLUTION: The hydroxyapatite used is in the form of particles having a mean particle diameter of 0.01-10 μm, a specific surface area of 50-500 m2/g, and a relative standard deviation of particle diameters of 0.5 or below and is represented by the formula: Ca(PO4)1(OH)m(CO3)nYx (wherein Y is an arbitrary anion other than phospho, hydroxyl, and carbonic group; l=0. 1-0.6; m=0.1-0.4; n=0-0.2; x=0-0.2; 3×1+2×n+z+x=2; and (z) is the valence of the anion, provided that (n) and (x) can not be 0 simultaneously). The pore volume is desirably 0.15-0.7 ml/g. The content of the hydroxyapatite particles is desirably 0.001-5 wt.% based on the polyester, and the thermoplastic polyester is desirably a copolyester.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive transfer recording medium on which an image can be printed in the high definition mode even under severe printing environments without damaging the outstanding heat resistance and mechanical characteristic of aromatic polyamide. SOLUTION: A base film comprising aromatic polyamide and/or aromatic polyimide as main ingredients has the following two groups of protrusions, at least, on one of the faces, preferably on both faces of the base film: (1) 10 -10 pcs/mm of fine protrusion with a height of 30nm or more from the plane of the film and a maximum diameter of 5nm or more, (2) 5×10 pcs/mm or more of superfine protrusion with a height of not more than 30nm and a maximum diameter of 3nm or more. In addition, a thermosensitive transfer layer is provided on the base film to obtain this thermosensitive transfer recording medium.
