Abstract: PURPOSE: To produce a polyamide yarn which is densely dyed and, at the same time satisfying the requirements of high strength and high modulus of elasticity by drawing a polyamide yarn in a low-temperature plasma atmosphere after dyeing it in dense colors. CONSTITUTION: A polyamide multifilament yarn containing at last >=75% caproamide unit in the recurring units of the polyamide fibers is densely dyed by a disperse dye or an acid dye in a cheese-state or a hank-state. Subsequently, the dyed yarn is subjected to drawing in a low-temperature plasma atmosphere generated in a reduced-pressure container containing a non-polymerizable gas such as argon and/or a polymerizable gas such as a fluorine-containing gas by glow discharge to obtain a polyamide yarn which is densely dyed and at the same time has high strength and high modulus of elasticity. By using some kind of gas, the yarn is also imparted with soil-proofness and hygroscopicity by the treatment.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make possible the realization of high ink absorption and further, the printing of a sharp and fine pattern by disordering the arrangement of filaments in the yarns of a fabric which is mainly composed of thermoplastic synthetic fiber. CONSTITUTION:The recommended thermoplastic synthetic fibers for a fabric for ink ribbon are polyester and polyamide fibers. However, the preferably recommended one is polymer fiber with high mechanical resistance against printing shock. The fabric is composed of these fibers used as warp or weft or as both warp and weft. Especially the fabric for ink ribbon is composed of filaments in the yarns arranged in disorderly manner. That is, the void area in the fabric is increased by disturbing the arrangement of filaments in the fabric yarns properly using a high-pressure fluid processing technique. Thus the ink absorptive properties are enhanced and the generation of graphic speckles is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the adhesivity of a gauze to a masking resin by irradiating at least one surface of a screen gauze made of polyester filament with ultraviolet ray containing a specific wavelength component, thereby forming radicals on the surface layer of the filament. CONSTITUTION:At least one surface of a screen gauze made of a polyester filament is irradiated with ultraviolet ray containing a component having wavelength of =3mw/cm (preferably >=10mw/cm ) for several seconds to several minutes to form radicals in at least a part of the surface layer of the polyester filament.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject waterproof cloth having a coating film with a high peel strength and simultaneously excellent in water repellency by treating the cloth with low temperature plasma in an atmosphere of a fluorine-containing gas and subsequently carrying out coating. CONSTITUTION:A cloth composed of a synthetic fiber, a natural fiber, a semi- synthetic fiber, etc., is treated with low temperature plasma in an atmosphere of a fluorine-containing gas, subsequently coated with a coating resin solution, e.g. using the floating knife method and heat treated to obtain the objective waterproof cloth where the formed coating film has a high peel strength, accordingly having a high water repellency.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepared a web having durable water repellency and deep color by treating a colored web with an organopolysiloxane and/or a fluorine- containing compound and subsequently plasma-polymerizing a fluorine-containing compound monomer at a low temperature to form a thin polymer film. CONSTITUTION:A colored web comprising preliminarily dyed natural, regenerated or synthetic fibers, etc., is subjected to a resin treatment using an organopolysiloxane compound and/or a fluorine-containing compound and subsequently subjected to a low temperature plasma polymerization with a fluorine- containing compound monomer to form a thin polymer film on the resin- processed web, thereby providing a water-repellent, deep colored web having high durability against washing and dry cleaning. The fluorine-containing compound monomer is selected from C2F4. C2F6, C3F6, C3F8, C4F8, etc.
