Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an organic film on a base material to be coated comprising such a process that, a specific organic material is evaporated under heating; based on the measurement of the evaporated amount, the output of a heating source is controlled so as to keep the evaporated amount of the organic material substantially constant to form the objective film comprising the organic material while controlling the thickness of the film for imparting slipperiness function or the like to the base material. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following steps: heating/evaporating an organic material comprising an organopolysiloxane-based compound or a perfluoroalkyl group-containing compound, which is pref. allowed to, for example, adhere to a fibrous electroconductive material such as steel wool [e.g. 2-(perfluorooctyl)ethyltriaminosilane]; measuring the evapolated amount pref. using a quartz-type thicknessmeter; controlling the output of a heating source pref. by a resistance heating method so as to keep the evaporated amount of the organic material substantially constant, based on the measurement of the evaporated amount; and forming a film comprising the above- mentioned organic material and pref. having a thickness of 1-30 nm on a base material to be coated. This method is useful for forming a film on the top surface of spectacle lens and the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve antireflection by using a vapor deposition apparatus of a vertical type of a low cost by allowing a material to be deposited by evaporation which mainly consists of titanium oxide and zirconium oxide to fly in a horizontal direction and executing film deposition. SOLUTION: An evaporation source 6 and an electron gun 5 are longitudinally and perpendicularly installed and the electron beams from the electron gun 5 arrive at the evaporation source 6 by the effect of a magnetic field to heat the material to be deposited by evaporation which is held there. As a result, film diposition particle fluxes are generated. The axis 13 of the film deposition particle fluxes (the direction axis indicating the direction where the particle fluxes are most strongly generated) is directed sideways to allow the material to be deposited by evaporation to fly in the horizontal direction toward substrates 401 to 406 set on the inside walls of a vacuum vessel 1. The content of the titanium oxide in the material to be deposited by evaporation is preferably 5 to 30 wt.%. At least one layer of the thin films are preferably multilayer films consisting essentially of the titanium oxide and zirconium oxide. The multilayer films are antireflection films and the first layer thereof is preferably formed of the zirconium oxide.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a curved polycarbonate resin plate having a cured film having good transparency and freed from optical strain by keeping a polycarbonate resin plate having a cured film in a curved state under specified temperature conditions. CONSTITUTION:A cured film of, e.g. an organo-silicon compound (e.g. tetramethoxysilane) or an acrylic compound (e.g. trimethylol-propane triacrylate) is formed on the surface of a polycarbonate resin plate. The obtained polycarbonate resin plate 2 is inserted into a jig 1, and is placed in a hot-air-circulating drying oven or the like and kept in curved state for at least 1hr under the conditions of a temperature of the softening point of the polycarbonate resin plate minus 20 deg.C to below the softening point to obtain the desired plate. When the cured film is made of thermosetting resin, the curing and molding into a curved plate can be simultaneously performed.

At the back parts of the lip A and the lip B, fixing members approximately uniformly providing a fixing force in the width direction are provided. In addition, between the apex parts of the lip A and the lip B, a gap part with an approximately uniform gap in the width direction is formed and between the central parts of the lip A and the lip B, a manifold extending in the width direction is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the transmission plate having excellent heat resistance and having excellent scratching resistance, adhesion and wear resistance by the simple process by producing all of multilayered antireflection layers by vacuum vapor deposition, forming the outermost layer of the antireflection layers so as to have the refractive index lower than the refracfive index of hard coating layers and disposing transparent conductive layers on the inner layers of the antireflection layers. CONSTITUTION:The hard coating layer 2 is laminated on a transparent base material 1 consisting of heat resistant plastic and the layer 3 having the refractive index higher than the refractive index of the hard coating layer 2 is laminated on the front layer thereof. Further, the transparent conductive layer 4 is laminated on the front layer thereof. The layer 5 having the refractive index lower than the refractive index of the hard coating layer 2 is further laminated on the front layer thereof. The hard coating layer 6 is laminated on the reflection surface thereof and the layer 7 having the refractive index higher than the refractive index of the hard coating layer 6 is constituted thereon. The layer 8 having the refractive index higher than the refractive index thereof is constituted on the front surface layer and further, the layer 9 having the refractive index lower than the refractive index of the hard coating layer 6 is constituted.

SOLUTION: The mouthpiece is provided with both a lip A equipped with a thickness regulating means aligned and arranged along the width direction in the tip part and a lip B having a uniformly flat opposite face in the width direction on the lip A side of at least tip part. In the rear parts of the lip A and the lip B, fixing members giving fixing power almost uniformly in the width direction are equipped. A gap part of a nearly uniform interval in the width direction is formed between the tip parts of the lip A and the lip B. A manifold extended in the width direction is formed between the middle parts of the lip A and the lip B. Such a heating means is equipped that the mouthpiece is heated so that the magnitude of unevenness of temperature in the width direction becomes less than 1% for an absolute value of difference of both the temperature of a molten material made to the sheet and room temperature.

In this case, a resistance heating boat 12 in the resistance heating method has a shape to heat the material to be vapor deposited including the organic material from its periphery to heat the vapor depositing material from the outer periphery apart a distance of >=20% of its external size. The resistance heating boat 12 has the shape to heat the vapor depositing material including the organic material from its periphery, and has a height of >=1.5 times that of the vapor depositing material.
