    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a rational water treatment by connecting filter machines of the same mechanism in multiple stages and using such machines. SOLUTION: The plural rotary drum type filter machines (1a and b) having fluffed cloth as filter media 2a, 2b are juxtaposed in a liquid flow direction. The filtrate outlet pipe (5a) of the filter machine on an upstream side and the original liquid supplying pipe (4b) on the downstream side of the filter machine are connected. The filtrate of the upstream side filter machine is supplied as the original liquid for the downstream side filter machine, by which the filtration is repeated and the solids in the original liquid are removed. The downstream side filter drum 4b is preferably maintained at the number of revolutions which do not exceed 1/2.5 the number of revolutions of the upstream side filter drum (4a) between the adjacent filter machines.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a practical solid-liquid separation device in which bulge of sludge is suppressed and transferability is excellent and also throughput capacity per unit time is increased. CONSTITUTION: This solid-liquid separation device is equipped with an endless filter medium sheet 2 and both a transfer roll 3 and a driving roll 4 which are provided by pinching the filter medium sheet 2. The filter medium sheet 2 is turned and traveled according to rotation of both rolls. The filter medium sheet 2 is traveled while placing a muddy solid-liquid mixture thereon, and solid-liquid separation is performed by suction dewatering and compression dewatering of the solid-liquid mixture and solid substance is transferred on the transfer roll 3. Rotation of a motor 5 is directly transmitted to the transfer roll 3 and indirectly transmitted to the driving roll 4 through annular power mechanisms 21, 22. The delivery side sprocket of the annular power transfer mechanism 22 is fitted in such position as a straight line joining the center of the driving roll 4 to the center of the sprocket is made nearly parallel to a tangent line passing through the contact point of the transfer roll 3 and the driving roll 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove water bloom or red water of lakes and marshes, rivers, a dam lake, a canal or the sea. CONSTITUTION:A purifying apparatus consisting of an intake means 1 taking in water from the surface layer part of a water area, a screen filter device 2, a rotary drum type continuous filter device 3 having filter fabric using extremely fine fibers mounted thereon, a dehydrator 4 dehydrating the backwashing water of the rotary drum type continuous filter device 3 and the means loaded with them to move along the surface of the water. The surface layer part of the water area is taken in while the purifying apparatus is moved along the surface of the water area to separate a coarse solid by the screen filter device and the filtred water of a screen is passed through the rotary drum type continuous filter device 3 to separate a remaining fine solid such as water bloom and purified water is returned to the water area. A part of purified water is used in the backwashing of the rotary drum type continuous filter device 3 and the water used in backwashing is sent to the dehydrator 4 to separate a solid as a cake.
