    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance capacity and to achieve miniaturization by winding the first wire material around a permselective hollow fiber to form each of unit hollow fiber elements and gathering the fiber elements to wind the second wire material around the gathered elements and gathering the obtained hollow fiber bundles to receive the same in a cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The first wire material 12 different from a hollow fiber 11 having permselectivity is spirally wound around one hollow fiber or two hollow fibers to form a unit hollow fiber element A. Four or more units of the unit hollow fiber elements A are gathered and the second wire material different from the hollow fiber 11 is spirally wound around the elements A to form a hollow fiber bundle B. Five or more hollow fiber bundles B are received in a cylindrical container 1. As a result, capacity is enhanced and miniaturization can be achieved and handling becomes easy. When this liquid treatment apparatus is adapted to an artificial kidney dialyser, the dialytic capacity of urea is enhanced and the time required in dialysis is shortened and handling becomes easy.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a fluoride type humidity separation membrane having a network structure formed by uniform porosity and suitable for precise filtration, by a method wherein a resin based on a vinylidene fluoride polymer is dissolved in a solvent and the obtained solution is formed into a membrane in a wet state. CONSTITUTION:A resin based on a vinylidene fluoride polymer, a vinylidene fluoride/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer or one prepared by mixing both polymer and copolymer in a range of 5/95-20/80 on the wt. basis is dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide or a solvent prepared by adding 5-15wt% glycerine to dimethylsulfoxide to obtain a stock liquid and this stock liquid is formed into a film in a coagulating bath such as a water bath under a wet condition to obtain a fluoride type wet separation membrane having a network structure of which the surface and the interior are formed from uniform multiple pores with pore sizes of 0.01-1mu and water content of 30% or more when water is contained. In addition, the above stated stock liquid can be formed into a hollow yarn separation membrane by dry and wet spinnings.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A separating membrane especially useful for a hemocatharsis system, exhibiting a wide range of permeability corresponding to purposes through blending or adjustment of an additive, etc. by the same production process, obtained from a mixture of specific two kinds of methyl methacrylate copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol% sulfonic acid group-containing polymerizable monomer, preferably sodium p-styrene sulfonate is blended with a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol% quaternary nitrogen group-containing polymerizable monomer, preferably 2-metha- cryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride in a weight ratio 1:9-9:1, preferably 2:1-1:2. The average molecular weight of these polymer materials is >=1000,000, preferably 200,000-800,000 in blending. Dimethyl sulfoxide is preferable as a solvent.
