    Abstract: In accordance with the invention, there are jet stacks, ink jet print heads, and methods of making jet stacks and ink jet print heads. The method of making an ink jet print head can include providing a partial jet stack including a diaphragm (104), a plurality of port holes (106), and having an ink outlet side (109) and providing a polymer planarized piezoelectric array (115). The method can also include bonding the polymer planarized piezoelectric array to a side opposite to the ink outlet side of the partial jet stack using an adhesive, wherein the partial jet stack is aligned such that the planarized polymer (117) covers the plurality of port holes, and using the partial jet stack as a mask to extend the port holes through the polymer by ablating the polymer and an excess portion of the adhesive from the ink outlet side using a laser beam, generated by a laser.

    Abstract: A layered photosensitive imaging member is modified to reduce the effects of interference within the member caused by reflections from coherent light incident on a base ground plane. The modification described is to form the ground plane surface by an electroforming process which leaves the surface with a black finish. Light incident on the ground plane is absorbed, eliminating the reflections which contribute to the interference effect at the imaging member surface.

    Abstract: The present invention is a multiple spot laser assembly, comprising a plurality of laser diodes, and a plurality of mounts, which include a support surface, upon which the laser diode are permanently affixed. The mounts, including the base plate and/or heat sink, further include a mating feature along an edge thereof for aligning a first mount with an adjacent mount, the two mounts abutting along at least one common edge. The mating features assure the accurate alignment of the laser diodes on the adjacent mounts when the mounts are assembled into a multispot laser light source.
