    Abstract: A method for measuring scratch-resistance of plastic resin is provided to reduce errors using a surface profile analyzer for measuring a scratch profile. A method for measuring scratch-resistance of plastic resin includes the steps of: applying scratches on a sample using a scratch generator; measuring a scratch profile by scanning the surface of the sample with a surface profile analyzer; calculating a scratch-resistance index consisting of the width, depth, range and area of the scratches using the measured scratch profile; and analyzing the scratch-resistance of the sample based on the scratch-resistance index.
