Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for sensing drivers sleep and fatigue is provided to properly alarm a driver who is sleepy or tired by checking the state and response of the driver. CONSTITUTION: A system for sensing drivers sleep and fatigue comprises a camera(110), a first determining unit(116), a radar unit(120), a second determining unit(126), and an alarm determining unit(130). The camera observes the state of a driver. The first determining unit determines the state of the driver into multiple levels. The radar unit extracts the reaction characteristic of the driver. The second determining unit determines the reaction characteristic of the driver into multiple levels. The alarm determining unit detects the state and reaction characteristic of the driver and delivers an alarm message.
