Abstract: A radiation-sensitive mixture consists of a polymeric binder which is insoluble in water but soluble in aqueous alkaline solutions, and of an organic compound whose solubility in an aqueous alkaline developer is increased by the action of an acid and which contains both one or more acid-cleavable groups and a group which forms a strong acid under the action of radiation. The radiation-sensitive mixture is suitable for use in photosensitive coating materials for the production of relief patterns and relief images.

Abstract: Polyurethane foams are new when obtained by reaction of polyisocyanates with isocyanate-reactive components including by weight a combination of (A) acrylate polyols of molecular weight 1500-15000 (10-60%); (B) polyetherpolyols of molecular weight 2500-8000 containing below 35 wt.% ethylene oxide-rich polyetherpolyols (20-60%); and (C) polyols of molecular weight 400-2499 (1-35%). Independent claims are also included for (i) the use of acrylate polyols in the production of viscoelastic polyurethane flexible foams; and (ii) the above preparation for the novel polyurethane foams.

Abstract: Aqueous polyurethane dispersions from diisocyanates (a), diols (b), other monomers, other multivalent compounds and monovalent compounds different from (a) and (b) with a reactive group, e.g. an alcoholic OH group, an epoxide group containing polymerisate based on epoxide group containing (meth)acrylate, a nonfunctional acrylic or methacrylic acid ester, and ethylenically unsaturated compounds are new. Aqueous dispersions containing polyurethane (I) synthesized from: (a) diisocyantes, (b) diols, of which (b1) contain 10-100 mole% on the total weight of diol (b), have a molecular weight of 500-5000 and (b2) contain 0-90 mole% of diol (b), and have a molecular weight of 60-500 g/mole, (c) monomers different from monomers (a) and (b) with at least one isocyanate group or at least one group reactive to isocyanates and at least one hydrophilic group or potentially hydrophilic group, which gives the polyurethane water dispersibility, (d) optionally other multivalent compounds different from monomers (a) and (b) and having reactive groups, i.e. alcoholic OH groups, primary and secondary amine groups, or isocyanate groups, and (e) optionally monovalent compounds different from (a) and (b) with a reactive group, e.g. an alcoholic OH group, a primary and secondary amine group, or an isocyanate group, and an epoxide group containing polymerisate (II) based on epoxide group containing (meth)acrylate (f) and optionally a nonfunctional ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid as a further monomer (g) and optionally ethylenically unsaturated compounds polymerisable with monomers (f) and (g) as additional monomers (h). Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparation of the aqueous dispersions containing polyurethane (I) synthesized from (a) diisocyanates, (b) diols, of which (b1) 10-100 wt. wt% of diols (b) of molecular weight 500-5000 and (b2) 0-90 wt.%m of diols (b) of molecular weight 60-500 g.mole, (c) from monomers different from (a) and (b) with one isocyanate group or one group reactive to isocyanates, carrying at least one hydrophilic group or at least one potentially hydrophilic group, which gives the polyurethane water dispersibility, (d) optionally multivalent compounds with reactive groups, different from (a) and (b), e.g. alcoholic OH groups, primary or secondary amine or isocyanate groups, and (e) optionally monovalent compounds as described above, and an epoxide containing polymerisate (II) as described above. The polyurethane (I) and polymerisate (II) are first separated, with reaction of monomers a,b, and c, and optionally g and h, with final dispersion of polyurethane (I) and polyme risate (II) in water at 1-0000degreesC; (2) a process for coating metal, plastics, paper, textile, leather, or wood articles by application of a film of the dispersion to the article and drying; (3) a process for adhesive bonding of metal, plastics, paper, textile, leather, or wood articles by application of a film of the dispersion to one of these articles and joining to another article after drying of the film; (4) impregnation of the above articles by immersion in the dispersion and drying; (5) an article coated, adhesive bonded, or impregnated with the dispersion; (6) dispersion mixtures containing the dispersions with reactive epoxide groups.
