Abstract: The invention relates to a two-step method for the production of a water-emulsifiable polyisocyanate preparation. In the first step (A), a dispersingly active reaction product is made from at least one diisocyanate and at least one polyalkene ether alcohol and in a second step (B) the reaction product is mixed with an aliphatic polyisocyanate in the presence of an allophanation catalyst. The invention also relates to a water-emulsifiable polyisocyanate preparation which can be obtained according to said method in addition to the use of said preparation in aqueous coating agents and in adhesive dispersions.
