    Abstract: Pyrazole-3-carboxamides of the general formula I in which the substituents have the following meanings: R represents hydrogen or optionally substituted C3-C8-cycloalkyl or C1-C4-alkyl, R represents hydroxyl; amino; C1-C4-alkylamino; di-C1-C4-alkylamino, aminocarbonyl-C1-C6-alkyl, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkoxy, C3-C6-alkenyl, C3-C6-alkynyl, phenyl or naphthyl, optionally substituted 5- to 6-membered heterocycle; one of the groups mentioned under R or R and R together form a 4- to 7-membered chain which can contain as ring member one of the following groups in addition to methylene groups: oxygen, sulphur, N-methyl or carbonyl; R represents optionally substituted 5- to 6-membered heterocycle, optionally substituted C3-C6-alkenyl, C3-C6-alkynyl, 5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthyl or phenyl, or one of the groups mentioned under R ; R represents nitro; cyano; carboxyl; halogen; optionally substituted C1-C4-alkoxy or C1-C4-alkylthio, or one of the groups mentioned under R ; R represents 4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl or a group COYR ; Y represents oxygen or sulphur; R represents hydrogen; C3-C8-cycloalkyl, optionally substituted C1-C6-alkyl, C3-C6-alkenyl, C3-C6-alkynyl, C5-C7-cycloalkenyl or phenyl, optionally substituted 5- to 6-membered heterocycle; phthalimido; tetrahydrophthalimido; succinimido; maleimido; benzotriazolyl or a group -N=CR R where R is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl and R is C3-C6-cycloalkyl, phenyl, furyl or a radical R , or R and R together form a 4- to 7-membered alkylene chain, and their agriculturally useful salts, where Y is not oxygen and R is not hydrogen when R is hydrogen and R is nitro, trifluoromethyl, halogen or C1-C4-alkoxy, and -YR is not ethoxy when R is hydrogen, R is methyl and R is phenyl or substituted phenyl.

    Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de benzofenonas de la fórmula I (Ver fórmula) en la que X puede significar cloro, hidroxi, metoxi o alquilcarboniloxi con 1 a 6 átomos de carbono e Y puede significar cloro o bromo, mediante reacción de un cloruro de ácido de la fórmula II (Ver fórmula) en la que X e Y tienen el significado anteriormente indicado, con 3, 4, 5-trimetoxitolueno, caracterizado porque la reacción se lleva a cabo en presencia de a) un hidrocarburo aromático elegido del grupo formado por: el clorobenceno, el trifluoruro de benceno y el nitrobenceno como diluyente y b) desde un 0, 01 hasta un 0, 2% en moles, referido al cloruro de ácido, de un catalizador de hierro, c) a una temperatura que está comprendida entre 60ºC y el punto de ebullición del diluyente correspondiente.
